Anyone else watch this HBO series a few years back about a travelling carnival/freak circus?

The first season was very good and won several awards including an award for the opening sequence.

The second season seemed to jump the shark a bit, but was still pretty high quality. The end of the second season was kind of weak though I thought.

Then suddenly, despite a pretty large fan base, the show was cancelled. Apparently the productions costs were too high for HBO and since HBO owned the characters the show couldn't be moved to another network.

Very good show that fizzled out before it's time.

    Awesome show, horrible ending.

Same shit that HBO pulled with "Rome" and "Deadwood".

It was supposed to last 6 seasons so I think that the ending is somewhat forgivable seeing as it was a season finale and not meant to be a series finale.

No doubt. I don't blame the makers, I blame HBO for forcing them into a horrible ending.

Not much they could have really done at that point.
