Serious question... Is this really a story that needs to basically be re-told 9 years after the Tobey Maquire version? I'm sure there will differences but the premise is the same. Loner dork gets bit by radioactive spider and develops spider-like abilities.
In the Toby version it wasn't a radioactive spider though...it was some stupid genetically enhanced spider. So I like that they've changed it back to the orignal idea. Secondly..the toby version had webs coming out of spidey's body naturally but in the comics he invented web fluid and the mechanism to fire them. Now, personally, that isn't a big point for me...but it would be interesting to see this change implemented.
So we're now doing remakes of remakes of adaptations that were last done 15 minutes ago? The image of Ouroboros comes to mind.
Well it's been 10 years since the Tobey version. In 10 years, that's a whole new generation of young people. Lots of money to be made here with yet another Spider-Man reboot. Oh yeah, there's another Superman in the works also and the same storytelling.::
I agree with roll with the punches. It looks good. The dude playin' spidey looks like a good looking version of andy murray.
