no way, man Norris was gutless, he never would have fought a real Middleweight Barkley lands one shot on that little glass chin and Norris is doing a drunk dance... Barkley would have no respect for his punches
Norris might hurt the Blade, but Iran would not respect him, and he would do his best to crowd him. Plus, the Blade could take it on the chin from Hearns. Could you anybody really see Norris being able to stay away for all 12 rounds? This is not an old Simon Brown. This is a big middleweight.
Pretty much. If a bigger and harder hitting Hearns couldn't take out Barkley i don't see how Norris could.
Barkley as a young middleweight HARDLY sucked, but he was hot and cold. He was tough as hell, had very good power, and was good at applying pressure against guys. Even Duran got stung late, so I could definitely see him catching Norris. Barkley had a no-quit mentality as a younger fighter.
Honestly, Norris did not have a chin, he also was missing the courage to fight anyone really threatening... the idea of him actually engaging in a fight against a middleweight is preposterous
an extended version of the Julian Jackson fight. Norris outboxes Barkley every second of the fight, until he gets caught and subsequently knocked out. Would be surprised if it lasted more than six rounds.
