First and foremost, I can't stand Lesnar. I just think he's a dumbass. But for all of the little girls in here that are crying for the prairie dogs obviously you have no idea about anything when it comes to wildlife conservation. We live on a continent that has for the most part had its main predators (wolves and cougars) decimated. If prairie dogs weren't killed by humans, the population would grow to horrible ammounts. Would you like your cornfields over ran with prairie dogs? What about wheat fields? How about that for fucking up the food supply. As an Austrailian about the mice problem they had when they go fuckin with the food chain. The same goes for coyotes, rabbits, and many other "nuisance" animals. In many states you can still get money for hides or pelts from the government. The problem is humans can't leave well enough alone, we try to "control" everything and usually just fuck it up. Man is a predator in the food chain. Whether you think that is "mean" is ignorant and regardless.
It's not a question of being "mean". It's a question of a roided-up scumbag getting laughs from killing small animals because he lacks empathy or thought for others. I have no problems with pest control, but that's not what this is at all. Would you actually like to figure out what the fuck you're talking about before you wander into a thread and mouth off to people who actually understand the situation depicted here? Getting rid of pests and vermin? Fine. Population control. Fine. Nobody is claiming these creatures need occasional culling, but that's not what this is about at all. This is a guy using high caliber ammunition shooting creatures for an ammo commercial while laughing it up and trying to look cool for the camera, and the fact that he's laughing it up while blasting apart these creatures is disgusting. Doing a job is one thing, and I respect hunters who do it for the betterment of society, but that's not what's happening here.
Fuck PETA & their Inconsistency... If this were Michael Vick, PETA would B Picketing his Next Public Appearance, his Sponsors AND they'd Demand that this Footage be REMOVED from the Airwaves... REED:shit:
We missed this last year but I'll let you guys know about this year's conference. Together, we can put an end to this senseless killing.
Love it. Let's book a Fightbeat trip. Who's with me? I wasn't really sold until they explained that it could help sharpen my shooting skill.
The fact that you assert that Brock Lesnar lacks empathy and has no regards for "others" is pretty asinine when "others" are prairie dogs. It's not the same thing, and I have no idea how one could have the audacity to make such an assertion. Literally the equivalent of someone stomping on a spider/cockroach or laying down mousetraps and being called a sociopath because of it. Then you go about some nonsense about how you respect hunters for doing the same thing, as if they are some super serious mercenaries that sit there emotionless and shoot these things while repressing tears. They act the same way, they enjoy shooting, that's why they are hunters. That's why Brock Lesnar is out there, because he greatly enjoys shooting and testing ammo and guns.
I wasn't just talking about the prairie dogs although that is fairly symptomatic. The guy has shown time and time again that he's got at least a few screws loose, but I guess that hasn't filtered through to you and your enlightened mind. Anybody laughing it up while blasting away creatures is a piece of shit. You might want to look up a sociological concept called the sanctity of life. And to your last point, Lesnar didn't seem too focused on the ammo when he's saying, "Huuurr, huuurr, huuurr, there was definitely some disintegration going on! Huuurr, huuurr, huuurr!" He was obviously talking about the animals being killed and laughing about it. Many people don't find that funny because they don't get a laugh out of animals being shot with elephant guns.
You know what, I just realized I was being a dink with the snide comments in the last post. Please excuse them.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanctity_of_life As I said, he gets a kick out of shooting period. Regardless of whether or not it is a prairie dog or not. He loves to shoot, he even laughs/acts like a maniac when doing so. He acts the same way when shooting fruit as well, does that make him a sociopath? That said, has zero to do with empathy.
We disagree. When he's laughing about something disintegrating, he's clearly not laughing about the bullet fragmenting. It does have something to do with empathy, your wikisearch notwithstanding, but you don't want to believe it. Animal cruelty and suffering is an assholish thing to get off on,no matter how anyone tries to excuse it. And laughing about shooting apart small animals does show a lack of empathy whether you want to think so or not.
Shooting prairie dogs is not animal cruelty. And I'm pretty sure one can't suffer when dying quickly via disintegration. He doesn't laugh when he makes the disintegration comment by the way. As I stated prior, he has a similar reaction when shooting fruit....so he you are telling me he gets off on the "suffering" of melons too?
I really don't see why you're defending the guy, but whatever. If you think that shooting animals and then leaving them there like discarded firing range targets isn't cruelty, I don't know what to do for you. Unless the guy is a 100% shot all the time, there's cruelty involved. It's not like an ammo commercial is going to show the animals that didn't get hit dead centre and crawled into their burrows to bleed to death or crawled away dying in pain. I was paraphrasing the disintegration comment because it was a description of his behaviour there in general. If you want to split hairs on an ant's ass, that's your entertainment. As for your last comment, it's so ridiculous that I won't even go into it.
The majority of those bullets are larger than the prairie dogs itself and being shot from a .50 calibre rifle? Yeah they are deed on impact. Also I fail to see how it's ridiculous, although I could see how it makes your argument that Lesnar is some crazy sadist that laughs like a maniac because of killing animals, rather than the TRUTH which is that he thoroughly gets a kick out of shooting. If he's laughing while shooting fruit, it's not because he's sadistic or a sociopath, it's because he thinks guns are a lot of fun to shoot and hit stuff with.
It's tiresome having you try to put words in my mouth. Nowhere did I call him a sociopath, say he's a crazy sadist, or claim he laughs like a maniac. It looks like you're falling into some of your juvenile argument-starting mechanisms you employed previously. Either that, or you're even starting to confuse yourself with this childishness. Either way, it's boring and a game I'll not engage in. I come here to talk MMA, not be bothered with someone whose sole purpose in coming here was to pretend he's someone he's not to try and gather observations tainted by his own falsehoods. Whether you realize it or not, that's what you're again engaging in here.
At this point, I do not know what to think, nor do I care because it's someone else's foolish gameplaying. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and that was out of kindness. As Yojimbo said, "There's no medicine for a fool!"
