Very possible. A slippery southpaw like Spinks may just be too much of a stylistic nightmare for Tito to overcome....although Tito is the better fighter.
LMAO at Spinks beating him Spinks would run for his fucking life and hardly risk even jabbing at Trinidad... Hopkins, Hoya, they had more than just jabs and skills, they were tough and had power Trinidad had to respect... Winky was different from them but still a strong, durable guy and compared to Spinks, he might as well punch like Julian Jackson Spinks either runs for his life and lives to hear a one-sided decision loss, or he gets caught eventually and takes a nice nap
I wouldn't have thought that Spinks would have beaten Judah, or Mayorga or lasted the distance with HUGE Jermaine Taylor. But he did. Tito doesn't like people that move too much and/or have great defense. It's not out of the realm of probability that Spinks wins.
You need OFFENSE in order to keep Trinidad off of you It's easy to last in fights when you run at all costs, as Spinks always did Trinidad is a way better fighter than Judah or Mayorga, with far superior offensive firepower and he's vastly more offensively gifted than Jermain Taylor He'd laugh at Spinks Spinks SUCKED, dude... he's got NOTHING for Trinidad
A guy in that went life and death with Roman Karmazin, beat Tito? *Ed Lover voice* Cmonnn son, cmonnn.
he also went life and death with a 900 year old version of the guy Pete Whitaker embarrassed to win the 140 pound belt back in 1992-- Rafael Pineda Trinidad would brutalize Stinks and perform an oophorectomy on him
You have to be kidding. Spinks fell all over the ring trying to run away from Mayorga. Trinidad would decapitate him.
Well on this forum according to many, anyone who has a jab and some slick skills beats Trinidad.:boring: In all seriousness.... Trinidad absolutely DESTROYS Spinks. Cory would trouble him early with his running but he would get caught eventually. He has no power to deter Trinidad at all, and unlike Hopkins, has no infighting skills. Tito hardly breaks a sweat here.
For the first time in the history of fightbeat I'm gonna pick Tito in a MM without any spirit of vomit choking resentment.
Spinks had to use his great lateral movement in that fight because Mayorga took punches well. Trinidad didn't, so Spinks has a good shot of knocking him out somewhere after the early rounds
Remember that Mayorga gave free shots to Forrest, then didn't do it against Spinks and again did it in the Tito fight. I think it is obvious he respected and perhaps feared Spinks' punch
