Remember where you heard it first folks! The word is out on the Dutch fight sites, Overeem will fight 2 more times for Strikeforce, and then has a contract waiting for him with UFC, wich he is surely gonna sign. Maybe start of with a nice warm-up fight againt Gilbert Yvel, a fight that many Dutch fightfans would like to see.
So first you're saying Overeem SINGS with UFC and then you say he fights 2 more times for strikeforce and THEN sign ? If you're gonna bullshit bullshit where it makes some sense. Plus Overeem fights once per 3 years for strikeforce so if it's gonna be 6 years before that time is up!
He still has a contract for 2 more fights with Strikeforce. After these 2 fights, he is gonna sign with UFC. The word is out on the Dutch forums, spread by a usually reliable source.
I can't see Overeem turning his back on K-1 and signing with the UFC now or in the future. On top of that, if Overeem gets destroyed in either of his next "2 Strikeforce" fights, Dana wouldn't want any part of him. So it's hard for me to believe Overeem would be offered anything at this point.
There is no way the UFC would offer a contract when Overeem has two fights left he could very well lose. The two likely guys are Fedor and Werdum, he's not exactly going to be the favorite in either fight.
Its finaly a done deal, Overeem signed a contract with UFC yesterday! Matter of time before it wil be official.
