Yeah, I hear the Gamboa fight was poor.

Yeah, pretty disappointing. It was better than Klitschko/Adamek, but both were poor.

I expected both to be shit as both were pretty big mismatches.

Yeah, but I was hoping we'd at least get an impressive performance or KO in Gamboa/Ponce. Was potentially fun on paper.

Ponce proved tougher than expected. Gamboa quitting the division now anyways. Some day we might just get a featherweight who sticks around and makes 126 his own. Problem is the divisions are all pretty thin, and there's better money in moving up and becoming a numerous-division champ.

Yep. Ponce can fight a little bit. I thought he beat Broner clearly... But I did expect Gamboa to make easier work of him. I thought it was a pretty interesting fight for a couple of rounds.

Ponce is just a cut below those guys {ha ha} and he's going to get stopped again sooner rather than later. As for Gamboa I think 130 might be his outer limit. He's not huge. 135 with his handspeed if he takes it up. One thing is for sure I don't have any real interest in the guy the way I used to in Barrera or Hamed or Kovacs, Harrison or Morales, McCullough that sort of thing. Its all about pfp multi-belts rather than any great grudges or rivalries.

Hamed vs McCullough was a grudge, all on its own, thanks to McCullough supposedly upstaging Hamed in Dublin when Hamed fought Medina. Barrera vs Morales needs no introduction. Hamed vs Robinson, another grudge. Kovacs even got in on it briefly, Hamed, I still believe, wanted no part of him.

Now I just find it hard to care about a featherweight fight.

Yeah, I checked my email today and saw that I missed an HBO fight over the weekend. I was like "oh fuck." Then I saw it was a heavy weight fight with Klitchko and I was like "oh I didn't miss anything." I don't know what I'm more indifferent about, the fact it was a Klitchko fight or the fact it was a heavy weight fight. Neither one is worth my time.

Sorry to hear I missed Gamboa though, but even then it appears that fight wasn't good either so no big loss either way.

I imagine that, in America, in the Deep North, there are faucets and bus-seats marked "Klitschko"

The Ponce fight was good until it got stopped. And the fight on Shobox on Friday was good between Arroyo and Sanchez.
