Amir Khan will be facing Lamont Peterson in December, but a venue has not been announced yet. What are your thoughts on this match-up at 140?

Boring fight. Peterson has no chance. He's just a pretty average "boxer" at world level, doesn't have the power or activity or ferocity to bother Khan.

He'll have nothing to counter Khan's speed and range and activity, he'll lose pretty much every round.

I wish little Timmy had just accepted the Khan fight. What a cock.

Peterson is garbage. He bores me to tears. khan will have a field day against him landing clean effective shots. Peterson will try to pressure khan, but won't be successful.

He's not even a pressure fighter, I don't know what he is. But yeah, he'll get completely dominated. It'll probably look a bit like the Kotelnik fight.

Khan's been doing his job of fighting the best guys in his division. I'd like to see him rematch Maidana, but the opponents he's had in the mean-time have been good.

I hope to see him lose, and I'll be rooting for Peterson. And Khan will most likely win. But you can't fault him for taking on Peterson.

It's too bad the Morales/Mathysse fight isn't happening, because my guess is the winner of that one would've gotten a shot at Khan.

A khan/maidana rematch will never happen.

Peterson FANCIES Himself as a Winky Wright Type, but he's NOT Quite Sturdy Enough Physically to IMPOSE Himself Upon Opponents, the Way the Light Hitting Wink Could...There's Definitely PARALLELS btwn Peterson & a YOUNG Wink Though...

Peterson's Got WORKABLE Traits (Decent Speed, Defense, Athleticism, Versatility) w/Out Being Spectacular in ANY Regard...His GLARING Weakness is the Lack of Power...Like the Wink, Peterson is Losing to More TALENTED Guys (Bradley, Ortiz) Right Now, but he'll Likely STILL B Around 5 Years from Now, when Most of those Other Guys have Faded Out of the Picture...

The Petersons strike me as some of the most naturally "fluid" fighters in the business, very loose, very natural. The kid that lost to Rios would have won that fight if he had any power at all.

Miguel Acosta had power, and Rios still fucked him up.

Lamont is just a MUCH better fighter than Anthony.

Having said...... Con will beat Lamont. Too fast.
