I think they'd both die getting to that weight LOL but the best Floyd vs. the best Erik (@130 at least) is a comprehensive UD for Floyd... He's too quick, his defense is too sharp
Floyd, I can't see Morales being able to land much of anything, truthfully... he'd be frustrated as hell and he'd keep getting his head snapped back with right hands... at best, he might be able to rough Floyd up on the ropes here and there, but for the most part he finds Mayweather an unsolveable riddle now, in 5 months, it's anybody's fight because they would both be dehydrated and lifeless LOL
Really? Damn, I read it the same way as did CDogg. Floyd would've won back then, borderline shutout decision, although Morales would've had enough moments within each round to give the impression that the fight is a closer than is actually the case. I refuse to answer the second part, because it will give Floyd and the WBC bad ideas.
Morales would win. He can match Floyd in offensive skill, but the difference is he has massive balls and a fighter's heart. Floyd's shoulder roll bullshit wouldn't work against Erik's sustained attack, and he also has a better offensive jab than Castillo, which caused Floyd a lot of problems. Erik UD, close but clear.
Floyd didn't invent the shoulder roll... only teenyboppers think that That style was around 60 years ago
I can't wait until Floyd loses and loses badly. Then all the ways guys can't see him losing will come to light. Most FloydIdiots have in undefeated vs any fighter...well...let me correct that...Sly thinks Floyd would beat the overrated Ray Robinson 7 out of 10 times. So that's three possible losses for Floyd. ::
There isn't any way that Floyd could beat Robinson... horrible style matchup and physical matchup for Floyd... Whitaker would face a lot of the same problems as well... I can't see either guy ever beating Robinson, even in 10 tries But there are but a handful of 130 pounders I would give a shot of beating FLoyd Mayweather
There isn't any way Floyd could beat his grandfather, Sugar Ray Leonard. Sly can't see that either. Don't get me wrong...Floyd's a highly skilled guy and could hold his own with some of the best, but when you think of say the late 70's going into the early 80's... Leonard, Benitez, Arguello, Pryor, Hearns and Duran were active and champions around that time. With the exception of Arguello and possibly Pryor....I don't see Floyd winning any of those fights. In a 15 round fight I might favor pryor simply because I think the extra three rounds plus Pryor's non-stop aggression and chin would keep him in as a live dog. Even if Floyd wins that one, he goes through hell and back. Arguello...simply couldn't handle the speed and movement...would never get set to throw anything meaningful at floyd.
agree on all Arguello, in a 15 rounder, probably lands some hard shots late, but for the most part he just can't catch up with Floyd... I give Pryor a little bit stronger chance than you probably do
