    I've never thought too highly of Sturm... I think it's a pick-em

Styles and weight class favor Sturm although Tito is live to get a knockout.

Sturm has a jab and good skills but he absolutely has no power. So I question if he could keep Trinidad off him.

But at the same time 160 was definitely not Tito's optimal weight. I lean slightly towards Trinidad but Sturm has the style to beat him.

Well Trinidad DID beat Joppy, so he is definitely a brutal killer at 160...

Sturm was stopped by Castillejo (sp?)

    I like Tito's chances here.

I don't think you needed to be a great middleweight to beat Tito at 160 either, though

    Hopkins-- Great Middleweight

Wright -- Clearly, way fucking better than Felix Sturm

I don't see how Sturm is really any better than William Joppy

At middleweight I am not sure that Wright is way fucking better than Sturm. Fucking better perhaps, but not way fucking. Sturm outboxed Oscar pretty clearly, I am not sure Wright could have done better.

That being said, I pick Tito. Sturm has the correct style to beat Tito and his jab is in the level of legends (yeah I said it). However he wasn't physically strong and didn't hit hard. Tito would get outboxed early but he would turn up the heat and he could chop Sturm down eventually

For the first statement - based on what? A win over Trinidad? Lol

For the second - he isn't THAT far ahead at 160

Wright probably would have won every round vs. the fat Oscar who lost to Sturm.

Not pumping him up, just applying the same criteria across the board

Ah come now, Slice. Hopkins is without a shadow of a doubt an ALL TIME GREAT middleweight. I don't personally see how that could be denied. I mean, how many 160 pounders could we say DEFINITELY beat Hopkins? There ain't many.

Winky Wright maybe didn't do a whole lot at 160 but he was a great fighter and had the credentials at 154, and because he was a big guy, was obviously able to compete at 160 effectively.

But Trinidad at 160 definitely wasn't where he was at his best. He probably would have lost to Winky at 154 also but I think it would have been more competitive in the least.

I'm not denying that bro, anyone with eyes can see he is a great middleweight, but he doesn't have the record to back it up (not his fault), it just annoys me that some people give Hopkins a pass for it and refuse to apply the same criteria to other fighters.

Sturm got careless against Castillejo. He won handily in the rematch.

One thing Sturm can do is jab. One thing Tito can't handle is a jab. Especially from a real middleweight.
