Pacquiao has lost what? two or three rounds since moving to 140+?

Exactly, he saw this as easy pickings, and it miserably backfired (other than his making a ton of money off of it). Everyone forgets that part, that it wasn't Pacquiao seeking the fight but the other way around

Honestly, take away the Marquez rematch and he's hardly lost any rounds at all since the second Morales fight. So let's pump the brakes on the conspiracy theories, my friend

This. Except Mosley did try to quit in his corner. Disgraceful effort.
DLH went out like a man (unlike the Hopkins fight).

I didn't articulate it well as I was rushing.

PRIME Oscar struggled with Whitaker to the point where many think he lost. Whitaker was a little older then and was also past his prime weight class.

Different style to Pacquiao, no doubt, but also small, fast and southpaw. So picture a prime Pacquiao, with lightening fast hands and endless stamina who's constantly moving and is in a southpaw style and I don't see Oscar having any easier a time.

Oscar had a very fast and lethal left hook and pacquiao is no defensive wiz and he's not known for his granite chin.

Difficult to land a left hook on a southpaw though. Especially one that moves as much as Pacquiao.

Wasn't there even a point where Pacquiao walked away from the fight due to money issues and De La Hoya came back with another offer?

Let's be real.. in the Trinidad-DLH-Mosley era, Pac would have stayed at 140.

I dont see it. I see him fighting and beating all of them. They would be tough fights, mosley being the least tough, but i think he would win.

Trinidad would've knocked him out senseless.

I dont think so. Pacman would have proved to be too versatile for Trinidad.

In the Trinidad-DLH-Mosley era, BOTH Pacman and Floyd wouldn't have moved past 140. Manny probably stays at the 126-130 range, 135 at the most. Floyd stays at 130-135 range, 140 at the most (though i'd doubt his foray even there given Tszyu would still be around and in great form). Not that they aren't capable of beating them, but compared to the comp today, the risk vs reward ratio back then would've been far different.

lol @ Trinidad knocking Pac out. Im a huge tito fan and no way he beats this version of pac. Trinidad got nullified by a jab. He doesn't throw punches unless there is an opening. Manny would be doing so much head movement and jumping in and out, tito would have been frustrated as all hell.

Aside from personality, he is better than Trinidad in ever possible way.

If Cotto and Margarito can land what they did, then Trinidad would too.

You act as if Manny is Pernell Whitaker or something.

I agree totally. Unfortunately, I see size and a resulting fire-fight negating that. Offensively, Pacquiao can do this. Defensively? I have real doubts.

What do you mean personality? I find Pacman far more agreeable than the arrogant Tito.

Cotto is much more of a technical boxer than Tito. He uses angles and can pivot well. Cotto can also fight going backwards. Cotto also doesn't just stand there looking stupid when there isnt an opening.

As for Margarito, that fight was the highest pac has ever fought. Of course he is going to get tired a little. Especially with Margarito who doesn't stop coming forward.

Tito wasnt the quickest guy out there. Pac's head movements would trouble him. Again, tito doesnt throw a punch if he doesnt see an opening.

And Tito has 100% more personality than Pac.

Yeah but Tito was damn sure quicker than the likes of Margarito, Cotto, and Clottey!

And he hit harder than all 3 of them.

If those guys could land, why wouldn't Trinidad? None of those guys are known for hand speed and even Margarito was able to land hard shots, regardless of weight.

Pacquiao FIGHTS. And he gets hit plenty. Trinidad would hit him.

I dont think Tito was quicker than Cotto. But that being said, and this is now the third time im typing this. Tito doesnt throw punches unless there is an open target. Cotto, Margarito and Clottey did. And if tito landed on Pac, so what? You think Pac is just going to stand there and take more? Pac makes adjustments and would figure tito our real quick. 147 tito, Dlh, and mosley gets beat by pac & Floyd.
