Imagine if Hop beats Dawson then moves back down to 160 and fights and beats Sergio and retires. Talk about cementing your legacy.
Sergio was disappointing in the Garden State last outing in countrast to previous fights but no way would Hopkins beat a Sergio who regained his quick pop...well maybe I'm wrong cause Sergio with his speed can surprise you and cause damage, but otherwise he has recently shown his one punch power is not good enough unless he catches you offguard.....maybe Hops and Sergio can play the same accumulation of punches game..but as much as I love the executioner...he has no speed like Martinez.....only wishing Bernard would win I guess....Martinez would win by a decent UD....Garden State
I forget but you know me as does at least a dozen or more here including my fellow Boricua Anthony.....I know you are a journalist...PM me and I'll tell you and you will laugh...Garden State
I'm a big Pauli fan being born in Brooklyn and all..but his last fights on the East coast and in the Garden showed he is way over his peak.... no pop at all and losing his speed...Garden State
Dawson is a better fighter than Hopkins. He will win clearly tonight and only bad judging can make it a close decision. 117-111, he won't ever be hurt and he probably will hurt Hopkins more than once.
I don't know who this Mexican guy is but Double L would be a fan the way he plods forward blocking punches with his face.
To his credit the girls he hangs with at East Coast fights are very super hot.. Jersey shore types......but despite tonight he has nothing left...despite this fight, which I did not care about, I only rooted against him when he fought my man Cotto...Garden State
Garcia-Holt pretty boring so far. Both guys appear to be preparing for a 12 round fight and not doing much other than loading up the odd bomb.
Nice body work by Garcia in round 6, also caught him with a good left hook near the end of the round.
Close round 7, could have gone either way. Neither guy wants to throw punches unless they're right up close causing clinches in just about every exchange.
Decent peformance by Garcia. Patient and effective. However for a guy from Philly and a Mexican surname i'd never figure i'd see such an unwillingness to fight on the inside.
holt's been done since he got smashed by that south african. garcia wasn't overly impressive either. hoping that linares vs. de marco turns out to be good. i thought linares was the truth when i saw him destroy larios.
Linares wins the round. Right near the end Demarco pounding his gloves together like he wants to fight whereas the entire time before he was in defensive mode.
