    Fact.

So primitive and pathetic it's laughable . I don't get why Ramonza defends it so much. It was a joke. A guy like David Tua would be a freaking legend called one of the best if not the best heavyweights ever if he fought in those primitive times.

lol. Trying to bate the old timers? Tua couldn't hang with an aged Archie Moore as light as he was let alone Joe Louis, Marciano would cripple Tua's fat stomach to death and so on..you be funny...Garden State

I do wonder what the nutrition was like back then, did they know anything about plyometrics etc?

To prove my point. Brian Southerland was a boxing LEGEND before 1960's . He had a famous trilogy war with Joe Louis. He beat countless top ranked contenders. Held number of titles. So the other day just because Ramozna was getting on my nerves i built a time machine travelled back in tim grabbed Brian threw him into my time machine and we landed in early 90's and I put him in with a modern guy with a record of 2-1. Below you can watch the result.

A long time ago I read that plyometrics was something the soviets came up with in the 70's.

Wiki says...interestingly enough...nothing about its origin.

I am a big believer in two things when it comes to sports--plyometrics and specificity. Although that sort of conflicts, I suppose.

It's sort of the corrolary to 'the best way to ruin an athlete is long distance running' which is something else that makes sense to mE.

watch that and shut the fuck up with the "primitive" shit

the above is a million times more advanced than anything happening with any fighter under the age of 30 right now

If you've been following the sport for decades and you still don't understand things besides lifting weights and taking the right supplements, then you ought to just quit watching

Because right now, there isn't anybody boxing not named Floyd Mayweather who is in this class^

I'm sure he was very impressive and revolutionary back in his day but so was fire to the caveman back in the day. Fact is fighters prior to 1960s couldn't cut it nowadays. Boxing only started hitting it's prime in th 1960's and only got better from then on. Prior to 1960s? No thank you. Too primitive.

My idol in Nueva York was Emile Griffth growing up...at age 12 I saw him kill Paret live in the ring for calling him a puto...most handled fighters today and their fans will never understand the flavor of the sport when it was real.....Garden State

I like your style of writing buddy but it needs some spice. It needs to stand out more so people can spot your remarkable posts easier. Oh I got it it'd be great if everything you typed was underlined in a bright red color! That would be eye catching wouldn't it ? Ok so here is how you do that. First turn on your spell check. Ok you're done.

I know this is a strange question, but are you by any chance a New York Rangers hockey fan?

There was a guy I knew on a hockey footage trading site some years back who called himself newyorican and we traded a few times and discovered a common love for boxing... you remind me of him, same style of writing and you are the right age... I know it's a zillion to one shot, just curious

    nonsense

tell me what's primitive about it? other than the footage and lack of creatine... you tell me what's primitive about it

Is your position that Chad Dawson is more advanced than Ezzard or Harold Johnson or Archie Moore? How so? because he has better supplements?

    His skills pale in comparison

ok i'll come clean I haven't watched the footage yet. I will watch it later and pretend it's in color to eliminate any possible bias.

Thanks bro.. BTW Larry Holmes is from Easton PA and we met years agoat a Golota fight at Trump Plaza when The Donald used to have such fights and I have a plaster imprint of his hands which are very small..funny to see it..a great example other than Big Gerorge off the top of my head how a guy can leave boxing intracty and be very successful in business...Garden State

Yup, Larry was smart with his cash, it's amazing when you consider where he came from... this was a guy who couldn't read until he was an adult... credit is due to him

imagine if they did a video like that for Floyd vs Gatti, but now change gatti into some golden gloves winner with 0 wins against top 100 opposition, and voila.

I predict it'd take floyd at least 10 rounds to KO someone like that.:Hanzkiller:
