For me it's more about seeing Cung Le return to fighting and in the UFC.

Le can still provide some entertaining fights.

I like Askren, but Hieron isn't much.

Dos Santos vs Velasquez is easily the most important fight of these listed. It's the top fight if I had to just choose one.

I guess Jones vs Machida would be my #2 since I think Jones is so good and like watching him fight.

Lesnar vs Overeem is a good matchup, but I don't think it will happen. I don't think Lesnar matches up that well with the juice-infused version of Overeem and I think a winning Brock is good for the sport. It's a pretty stupid matchup for Brock at this point and only makes sense if you are trying to get him out of the sport or make him even bigger. Since he's already the biggest, I'm thinking it's the former.

I just like Bellator. Hieron isn't much to be truthful, but the guy did win the tournament; hasn't lost in 5 years; and has just enough take down defense to make me interested.

But ultimately the real draw is seeing Askren back in action. I honestly think that Askren with a little more seasoning could be the toughest 170 pounder to beat outside of GSP.

Bellator is always a good watch.

Askren is odd because he isn't the ordinary type of wrestler who has success at mma. Usually, it's the super strong, brick shithouse types. Askren was more length and funk. He still does the funky shit and it will probably cost him, but it's cool to watch. I also think he could rise to the top of the 170 pack. I would love to see the guy be considered the best, but he has a long way to go. I don't think he's shown much at all standing.

askren is annoying to watch. that 'funk' scramble he does to gain dominant position was cool to watch in college wrestling, but in mma, it's hardly what i call exciting.

anyways, he's going to be tough to beat.

I guess I could look it up, but I'll ask instead...wth is the UFC going to do about the upcoming ppv without St. Pierre? They have to be putting it on Vs now, don't they?

penn vs. diaz is still a very good main event. plus, it's not like they can just cancel the ppv and expect Vs to have a slot open when Vs probably has hockey on or some shit.

Depends what you mean by very good main event. It might be a good fight and have some meaning to the weightclass, but it's not a ppv headliner, imo. (Interestingly, they did not bump it up to 5 rds.)

I think Vs would bump whatever else they have scheduled to get a UFC card or work something out.

I am guessing that this card will have the worst ppv numbers of the year by a considerable margin. Anyone know a link where they are posted? Wiki? Sherdog?

Hieron absolutely made Askren's wrestling look average. He lost a narrow split decision but Askren only hit about 5% of his take down attempts.

Before this fight I thought Askren might be among the Top 10-15 in the weight class. That's not the case. However, I think Hieron deserves a call from Dana and the boys at the UFC.

In retrospect to this point, 3 of these fights are FOY candidates. And I need to add one more. Diaz versus Cerrone on the undercard of Lesnar-Overeem at UFC 141 is another one that won't disappoint.

Miller has trounced Bisping on the likability meter this season. The teams have fallen in line similarly, too. Akira = douchebag.
