Prospect Quigg facing the biggest test of his career @ 122 against Booth tonight. I haven't seen Quigg before. "One of the most exciting talents on these shores", according to a few watchers. I know of Booth. He fought and lost to Kiko Martinez who lost to Rendall Munroe twice. Let's see how Quigg does.
Is this Jason "2 Much Drugs" Booth?? He made a very impressive comeback when he dropped a deserved but narrow loss to Steve Molitor.
Yep. £10,000 spent on booze, coke and heroin. He must have been seriously depressed after the World title loss. I believe a member of his family passed away too, but not sure when.
Ah yes, Frampton......the latest squat, muscular hype job. I bet Frampton has half of the conditioning that Barry used to.
All Hail McGuigan. He gets so excited in his chair for the big fights. :giggle: Quigg bullying booth now against the ropes. 2-1 up
Maloney pops his little head through the ropes asks booth, "you 'ad enuff san?" Booth's corner wave off the fight. One way traffic after the first round.
Too bad for too smooth. My only worry for him now would be what happens to him if he retires. Probably harm himself.
Only God knows. Frampton/Quigg "will make a cracking contest", according to Jamie Moore. Indeed it would Jamie, lad.
Remember during the DeGale vs Smith fight, Jamie sits up in his sit with his little fat Chinaman face and says...."Ohhh....Smith gonna start taking over after this round".....:scratcher: Taking over what? The scrap metal trade in Speke??
I knew Smith from the 2002 Commonwealth games when he lost to Pascal in the finals. Zero punch, zero variety, decent chin and outstanding fitness. Once he struggled with cuts, I knew he wasn't going to have much of a career. Getting the better of Quigley and an utterly shot Dodson was the highlight of his career. He did well to win a British title.
I hope Smith beats Groves. Don't think he will tho. Groves will probably fight very cautiously and on the backfoot, thus sending me to sleep :boring:
