Last time I saw David Reid was outside the Garden before Tito Hopkins and they never recognized him in the arena..he was totally disrespected..even if he wins this fantasy bout...I tried to talk to him that night and he could barely turn his head...pushed too fast..and a great example of what happens when boxers are pushed and used..but I'll give him this fight and say that a few years later he will be on major drugs..a sad story....GS
Berto is small for 147 and Reid had to starve himself in order to maintain 154. Not sure where (weight) this fight could even take place.
Got to rewatch Trinidad vs Reid recently. That fight was actually winnable for Reid, if he only had brains. Physically, he was up to it. Mentally, no. Still, i'd certainly pick him over someone who went life-and-death against Victor fucking Ortiz. And that's an indictment of how awful this generation is.
