I liked it, but I loved comics as a kid. I can't speak for the average person. It wasn't stellar, but it was solid.
You buy DVD's? You know there are plenty programs where you can copy DVD's (and Blu-Ray) disc's for far less than buying... Just sayin'... Not that I'd do such a thing....telling what I've HEARD.
:: Yup I've heard of such things and should check them out. I'm somewhat of a collector, that's the problem. I like the packaging as well as the movie itself. So I spend a silly amount on Blu Rays and DVDs. I do have to take your advice.
I never buy DVDs unless it's something that i need. I DL Bluray movies on Torrents and have a huge libaray on a seperate hard drive, which i access thru apple TV.
It was mediocre at best. You'll probably get more milage out of the pretty case sitting on your shelf then you will out of the DVD.
It's actually pretty good. I won't say great, but I had low expectations going in, and Chris Evans did a really good job. He nailed the Steve Rogers part, but I guess I have my reservations because he didn't get to do too much of the character in the present. Still, I REALLY liked the movie.
Just saw it. It was so so. Very slow in spots...and bit cheesy here and there. So so. Dude did a good job as Captain America though and there was some good action.
I was excited to see this after a former co worker said it was the "best superhero movie ever" I have watched it so far over the coarse of 3 nights and keep falling asleep
Actually they weren't that bad. Captain America is one of the best hand to hand combatants in the Marvel Universe. I got a few of his in my collection but overall I rarely went out of my way to get Captain America comics. Yeah, you just made me remember why I wanted to see it so bad. At first I was indifferent to seeing it, then some chick tells me it was the best comic book movie. Should have known she didn't know what the fuck she was talking about when she said she didn't like Green Lantern.
I subscribe to the latest Captain America series which is on issue number 5 right now. It's one of the better comics as far as story-telling goes that is out right now. He also plays a prominent role in the Fear Itself storyline and even has his shield broken in half during this story. On the movie; liked it much better the second time while watching at home. I missed a bit of it in the theater because I had to get up and take a piss right around the train scene. Not a bad movie, but it did feel like they were only cashing in and setting the table for the Avengers movie.
