Missed the first one. Bradley vs Cassamayor - An obvious gifted final payday for Casa, just wish I didn't have to see it. Ugly fight where Casa was just trying to survive as long as he could and wasn't even willing to try to win since he seemed to know from the start that he couldn't. Alvarado vs Prescott - Great fight, could have been it's own card on HBO. After dominating Alvarado over the first 6 rds Prescott finally wore down while Alvarado got noticeably stronger. I like Prescotts style and was hoping he'd win but good come back stoppage for Alvarado who doesn't really look like anything special IMO. The Fix - Was it in? Earlier in the fight I had a feeling Prescott was going to get robbed had it gone to the cards. Nady seemed to be favoring Alvarado, and with Alvarado's record it wouldn't shock me if he was the home promoted fighter here. What really got me though was the compubox numbers. I found it really hard to believe that Alvarado threw the most shots, landed the most shots AND had the better accuracy of the 2. Especially with how much slipping and blocking Prescott was doing, while Alvarado's main defense was stopping punches with his face.
The cruz fight was very good. I enjoyed seeing prescott in his corner, shellshocked and bemused. Very happy seeing that, indeed.
I loved watching Casa get brutalized. Timmy tortured him too. He could have ended things but decided to bash him a little more.
@ 1 Point, Alvarado Looked Worse & WORSE as he Came Back to his Corner btwn Rounds....This Went On for like the 1st 5 Rounds of the Fight::...But Dude Deserves CREDIT for Weathering the Punishment of a BANGER like Prescott to Get a KO Win... TOUGH Cat for Sure, but U're Right in that there's NATHAN Special about Alvarado...Seems like a Respectable, David Estrada Type to REED... REED:cheer:
I loved it too, but it was much better watching JMM beat Casa to a pulp. Can't remember a beating I loved more than that long awaited one. By the way welcome back buddy. Hope you're back for good. Where you been?
Back for the day. I know this will sound funny coming from me but I haven't posted because I hate boxing. I still watch it but I hate it. If I were to post on a regular basis, I would have nothing positive to say which is unfair to people that still love the sport. I don't. I hate it even though I watch it. It just saddens me how awful boxing is today.
Gotta say I agree. Even after last night, I didn't get the sense of fulfillment after the fights like I used to in the past. Still, I enjoy posting so I just do a lot more in the TAAA and movie forums, you should too.
