Two different fighters on the same night, at the Echo Arena, Liverpool on December 7. DeGale will defend his WBO title against Spain's Jose Guerrero and Groves will face a challenger yet to be named. Bet I had ya thinking they'll face each other? Just for a second, no? :dunno:
The fat lad is plain awful.. It's only a matter of time until some bum 'robs' him again only this time by KO
TKO is so biased ::. Chunky proved his whiskers last time out. Groves would have been splattered by some of those right hands.
Gotta say I agree. There's no guarantee he'll beat this Spanish scrub let alone a Groves rematch. I gave Groves 9 rounds in the first fight, I'd expect him to be far more dominant in the rematch, possibly getting a mid rounds stoppage.
Apart from the KO vs Smith, what has made you guys think that Groves is better than he was vs DeGale? He hasn't looked impressive
If I was DeGale, I would go all Tall-Paul in my fights, become a thresher, he's going to lose rounds just by not punching enough and he still seems to get tagged too easily in those fights. The fight between DeGale and Groves was very close and DeGale finished stronger if I recall. Their "common opponent" is Paul Smith, who is poo, and both men took him apart, Groves somewhat more clinically but both men dished it out and didn't take much in return. Its criminal how badly treated were Groves chances in the buildup, the entire Sky panel were sat in the studio basically saying, in so many words, that it was a matter of when, not if, DeGale would beat Groves.
