I think it goes the distance... Evander has certain skills as a counterpuncher that could prove really useful against Louis, but he also can't resist trading when he gets tagged... I think the latter could be the difference... I don't think even the most biased historical revisionist could argue with Louis's phenomenal arsenal of punches... the best thing for him is a guy who elects to trade with him... even if you get to him first, it's almost inevitable that he will return the favor later on with far more devastation... like a machine, once he was warmed up, the punches came in waves and you either got on the bicycle and got the fuck out of the way or you stood and tried to fight back... Holy would be more likely to do the latter, since he wasn't particularly good at the former... I think Louis wins this
Both men hit the canvas, Louis in the second, Holyfield, in the tenth. A good, entertaining scrap for six to eight rounds, but I have Louis pulling away down the stretch, and after initially thinking a decision, Im changing to a stoppage in either rounds eleven or twelve. Holyfield was crazy tough, but his endurance & defense betray him badly late-on. Louis TKO12. Scores of 7-3-1, 6-5, & 6-4-1 all for The Bomber at the time of intervention. Commander Vander would be the best foe in Louis' 25-bout tenure as champ, though (possibly excepting Walcott).
