This is a positive move, we have the same thing over here with Boxnation. They are an alternative to the PPV dominated SKY.

Boxnation has been live for a few months, it it is £10 per month, no PPV. Shown some really big cards and big names, including Cotto vs Margacheata next week. Dawson vs Hopkins and the entire HBO card last-night. People WILL tune in for non-slick non-PPV stuff if its decent fights. Who cares about the packaging or the presentation? Just cut to the fights, then back to the cheesy studio. Bit of Cotto here, bit of Helnius there, bit of Povetkin the other, I'm game. Of course, if you want to see super-slick, super-defense, Oh-my-God-I'm-Max-Kellerman bullshit then yeah you need HBO.
There are probably ten good fighters in boxing. That is why boxing sucks. There are few good fighters today so yes they almost assuredly will be bums fighting for peanuts to boring 10-12 round meaningless decisions.

The 3rd world fighters rely heavily on leverage and heavy-handedness, as their lack of nourishment means less energy for mustard.
Double, you have to admit Angulo's recent performance against Kirkland reeked of 3rd world fighting for food combat. Maybe it was fighting back in the motherland that encouraged the transformation. Such incredible lack of speed, with huge leverage and no energy.
