I'll buy it when it comes out. If you strike gold and get rich Angry Birds style, think I can have a couple hundred grand for getting in on the ground level?
Hey Steve, thanks for the support. If you've ever wanted to be a Mexican snowball with a moustache who rolls around collecting things like donuts, Viet Beef Soup, and snowboarding Elephants, it might just be the game for you :kidcool: Shall do Double. And yeah I have to admit, it kind of IS a dream job, especially for me, as a big videogame fan and someone who hates working for companies and having a boss etc. Like with anything, it's not all roses though. I've worked probably an average of 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for a year and a half building a 3D engine, a physics engine, AI, and learning game development, got into debt etc in order to put this much work in. Luckily I'm now earning more than I've ever earned in a normal job, but you do have to put the work in. Game development is a fuck load of work, especially 3D.
Did you ever get into IL-2, the WWII flight simulation by Oleg? That game used to have me by the balls, buying $500 video card, etc. It was supposed to have really good physics for the time. Now he's got a new one out that I haven't played yet. I used to be a slave to Steel Beasts Pro too.
Hats off. What I'm told, it's a very competitive field - so the fact you're making money at it says a lot. Good deal!
