So you thought he looked good in those fights? Mayorga isn't much these days and Yuri Foreman came into the fight with an injured knee.
He's a Mexican. He turned pro at 15, which means he was still an amateur, but just getting paid for it. Not to compare but Chavez Sr., was 22 or 23 with about 45 pro fights before he fought anybody worth a shit. Maybe he's already in his prime, maybe he'll be shot by 23 because he's been fighting without headgear his whole life and doesn't have much in the way of defense. I don't know, but he should make for some entertaining fights even if he's not some lb. for lb. great.
What does Mayorga not being much these days and Foreman's knee have to do with Cotto not looking good? He beat the shit out of both of them
Agenda driven subtext: Pac only looked like shit vs Marquez because he's shot at 32. Ignore the fact he looked like shit against Marquez when they fought previously as well.
mexican shirt and anyone else with a keen eye for pugilism would tell you his clear prime fell between those two bouts.
Neil pay attention. I am responding to loaded gloves that claims Pac looked bad against Marquez in the 2 prior bouts.
Yeah. He's looked bad but he's only 21 and when he settles into a groove of fighting twice a year, or once every two years like our esteemed pfp King, then he will improve considerably. Right now, he is distinctly average, but has potential.
Jesus christ you freak, Pacquiao couldn't have been further from my mind when writing that post. I'm not Sly ffs. And by the way, Pacquiao didn't look like shit in the first 2 fights. He looked fine, Marquez just had the perfect style to trouble him. They both looked worse in the 3rd fight, especially Pacquiao.
You think? I mean it didn't take any KD's this time for him to basically win by the same slim margin as the other fights. I'm not making any judgements based on that fight, JMM is just a real bad match up for Pac and I think the third fight proved it.
