Who came up with it ?
    Who cared?
What were the threads about (hard to imagine pages and pages of threads on the same person unless it's a justin bieber fan forum)
    Why was it closed?
Why wasn't it closed sooner ?

Imagine you had loadedgloves and sly, but 20 of them, and Floyd was substituted for Roy. That was planet Roy.

Personally I didn't find it as irritating as the era of the rabid Tito fan.

I like Roid now. But doesn't change the fact that he did use his "fuel"

I didn't find Jones fans as obnoxious as Tito or Tyson fans were back then or as Mayweather fans are now. I remember having some fun debates with REED about RJJ back in the day. And even though he was as big of a RJJ fan as I've ever seen, he could be reasoned and his arguments contained facts. Which was rare when having discussion with the more rabid fans of the other fighters I mentioned.

Precisely, for some reason they were nowhere near as annoying as Tito or Floyd fans.

I used to be a pretty obnoxious Morales fan, why weren't there more of us

REED loved Roy but I always found him very willing to discuss the guy logically and objectively when pressed on it... Some of the best conversations I've had with REED were all about Roy

I was always most annoyed by the delusional Tyson fans at the turn of the century.

At least Tito and Floyd were/are good fighters. Early 2000s Tyson was not.

The amount of people that thought Tyson was going to beat Lewis was really sad.

Yep. And a lot of the more annoying ones were toddlers (at best) when Tyson fought in the 80's.

    And then there was Esk...

Where were you guys posting during the leadup to Tyson/Lewis?

Boxing.com had a hilarious build up to that fight.

What was even more sad where the ones who picked Tyson and then tried to backtrack and say they "knew" Tyson was gonna lose due to "____" (fill in the blank with an excuse).

I was on SecondsOut. One of the things I remember was a particular Tyson fan who was also a mod was deleting posts that made were not complimentary of Tyson after the fight.

The worst part is half the idiots at secondsout picked Tyson against all logic and then had the audacity to not even give Lennox props for dominating him... "It was the Zoloft, you see, it made it impossible for Mike to fight" ... total horseshit... Zoloft is a mild anti-depressant, an SSRI like Prozac or Paxil, they are the most commonly prescribed medications for people with depression and/or anxiety disorder, the general idea is that they interfere as little as possible with a person's functioning, the side effects are far more mild than with the more heavy-duty anti-depressants... He wasn't on a MAOI or a Tricyclic or Effexor, nothing heavy like that

After the fight, I remember a few guys started "open letter" threads.

    Dear Mike,

If you got back in shape, down to 220, starting using your jab, moving your head... you could be champ again!

This was AFTER the Lewis bout.

Side-effects? Was it side-effects of Zoloft?

Not only did they pick Tyson, but it was almost always something like "Tyson by crushing first round KO" or "Lewis will be KOed with the first solid punch Tyson lands"

Speaking of this...I believe it was the crazed Tyson fans who were the original over-users of "shot" and "green".
