I have a gasket loose then because I like Moreno and is fun to watch when in there with the right opponent.
You should go to barbiedolls.com then. I understand hating Vic. If you like that style, then you don't like Boxing. Period. What an awful piece of shit. Boxing is a martial art. YOU SHOULD WATCH TRACK. i UNDERSTAND HATRED OF VIC, bt liking Moreno. That is disgusting.
I am not at you.Your opinion is ass though. I am old fashioned. I think fighters should fight. I have no respect for people like Pernell Whitaker who open says my plan is "not to get hit." It is like saying you want to swim, but hate water. You like to womanize but hate bullshit. Fighters should be angry and like hurting people more than they like sex. Fighters shouldn't run and slap and then raise their hands. The only loser was the sport. Moreno is a cunt.
LOL ok I still haven't seen the fight yet.. Who did moreno fight more like? Whitaker or Spinks? Coz those two fighters really have very little in common..
I thought Agbeko looked like shit. Wow. I've always been an advocate for him and thought he got screwed in the first Mares fight, and I guess he did. But wow. He sure's hell couldn't take advantage of the opportunity for a rematch.
More like Stinks. Good point the only common thing between Stinks and Pea is they both had no honor or dignity and refused to fight almost always. Pea had a few fights where he actually earned his money-very few but some. Moreno ran in fear he would throw a slap, duck, push off run, run, run, run and run again. I long for the day when the find Moreno's bloated corpse in the Panama Canal.
Ike - I don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Moreno fought a great fight. And though he made Vic look like an idiot with his defensive skills, he was also very successful offensively, hurting Vic repeatedly with right upper-cuts to the body and straight left hands to the chin. In no way shape or form was Moreno's performance, "stinky." If you consider his performance, "stinky," you need to think seriously about possibly finding a new sport to follow (MMA possibly or tough-man contests, maybe even pro wrestling would float your boat judging from previous posts. and also, this may address too your concern that there's less than 10 good fighters currently competing in boxing as well - why watch a sport with so few good athletes). In my book, you're definitely the kind of fan this sport would be better off without.
You know Vic got his ass whupped when he admitted he lost the fight. After Donaire knocked him senseless he maintained he wasn't hurt. :scratcher:
Wow. From E' tu, Double L. I would expet you of all people to agree. I will go ahead and make a prediction. I am right from the beginning. I understand what is going on. You people hate Vic so much that anyone who beats him is the messiah. Moreno should have been disqualified. I don't watch fights to see one man run in the most cowardly fashion from another. At least admit that you hate Vic and are glad he lost. Don't for a second state that Moreno fought in a legal and acceptable manner.iN MY OPINION, THIS WORLD WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITHout YOUR 87 IQ and your worthless alcoholism. I hope they drag you from the canal with your lover.
:: Nice. It's true I prefer offensive minded fighters. But I don't let that completely cloud my view from what was a great performance on Moreno's part. Probably the most impressive thing he did was to use Vic's out of control aggression against him and remain calm and therefore effective in the face of Vic's ill-conceived rushes in which he appeared as a over zealous pee-wee football player. And it's also true I'm not a fan of Vic's. But even before this fight I did give him credit not only for his victories, but also for his willingness to face so many top fighters. Unfortunately, it's rare these days for fighters to have as much confidence in themselves as Vic does. Still, I can't figure how any reaction to Moreno's performance other than to find it impressive makes any sense at all.
Moreno fought the same fight Donaire fought against Vic. The "onliest" difference is Donaire had the power to knock Vic silly. Moreno hit Vic with the same counters as Donaire. The difference being he hurt Vic whereas Donaire turned Vic's lights out.
Yeah but Donaire is right-handed and did his damage with a counter left-hook. Moreno for the most part was landing the straight left and the right uppercuts to the body. Moreno tamed Vic, whereas Donaire simply knocked him out (without first taming him).
Both hit Vic as cleanly as you could ever want to hit a guy. From which side the punches come from doesn't matter when your defense is that bad. The difference is/was power between the two. I'd hoped Vic would get KO'd but hearing him flat out admit he lost was worth watching the 12 rounds.
I'm with Ike. That fight sucked. Vic, with his crabby, clawy, comically telegraphed flailing left hooks, and pathetically inept right hand that would be more useful to him if it was afflicted with palsy and he could at least collect disability benefits with it..........absolutely sucked. Moreno, who fought like a drunken boxing version of Pernell Whitaker gets credit for making Vic look like a retard...........which isn't really that hard, and it didn't really make me enjoy the fight any more. I would have gotten more pleasure watching Paulie Malignaggi slap punching his hair dresser for 12 rounds, never able to quite finish the job, despite the hair dressers complete lack of boxing skill.
:: :: Don't get me wrong, I haven't even seen this Moreno chap, I'm just illustrating the idea of a generic "dominant schooling" for argument's sake.
Was weird - Moreno did everything that Mijares should've done in his own fight w/ Vic three years ago. Worse, the blueprint was there for Vic to succeed, and he instead failed miserably. I'm in the minority, I thought Moreno looked better than in past fights, and it was the most convincing loss Vic has suffered in years (more so than against Agbeko, in fact). I do agree that Moreno might have a hard time earning TV dates on his own, but is already calling out Arce and Golden Boy is in position for a Moreno-Mares unification bout whenever it so chooses to go that route.
