    Let me start...

    Alien franchise

1 and 2 classics...3 was much darker than the others but the way the movie progress wasn't the best but it was still very enjoyable. #4 was was decent, swimming alien piss me off though..

Original Star Wars (if that counts)

    Lord Of The Rings

Would have said Indiana Jones until the 4th one came out.

Then the only one i can think of right now is LOTR. Never read the books, and never been into the fantasy type stuff but i did enjoy all 3 movies.

This is difficult, because with every success, there is a tendency to either rush successive films, or coast on the popularity of the franchise under its own steam. As such, few film series will always produce a quality movie.

As for Alien, I LOVED movies one & two (especially the second), & though it has some significant flaws, I actually do like the much-maligned third film --- it's extremely bleak, & to me, that fits the Alien story arc.

Unfortunately it's a, 'no,' from me, because the fourth film, Resurrection, was ABYSMAL. Utterly hideous.

Ditto for Predator, which had me with the first two films, but then blew it with Predators last year.

& again with Jurassic Park, which gave me two films I really liked, then got greedy.

It's tough --- Batman goes close, the only ones I didn't like through six films were movies four & five (four is one of the worst movies ever made).

I'm not sure if some would count this, but I love the four X-Men (two & four are the best) films in the main lineage of the story. The Wolverine flick was a let-down but that's actually a spin-off, so it could be argued it doesn't. count.

Star Wars --- again, only one flick outta six I really didn't like, & that was Attack Of The Clones.

Whiskey has mentioned Lord Of The Rings, & that (if you don't count X-Men) would be the only one, off-hand, I can think of where I enjoyed them all.

Lord Of The Rings is the only one I can think of. Most likely helped by the fact it was all filmed at once and is really just 1 really long movie. They didn't get the chance to figure out how to fuck it up between shoots.

"Alien" series a close 2nd. I actually liked "Resurrection". "3" had a good look to it......but I really couldn't get into it. I thought it's only purpose was to piss on the first two films.

    Die Hard.

Even though 1 was the best, all 4 have high rewatchability.

    Back to the future.

LOTR of course but not sure whether that qualifies as a franchise. It was really one big film cut into three pieces.

    Does Kill Bill count?

How about the National Lampoon movies? Not sure on this one though as I remember the European Vacation being dumb, but I'd have to rewatch it.

I enjoyed all of the Rocky movies, all of the X-Men movies including the Wolverine spin-off, the Shrek movies, Toy Story, and Austin Powers. I'll get ridiculed for this, but I also have enjoyed all of the Twilight movies though Eclipse is really pushing it. I also actually liked all 6 Star Wars movies.

Back to the Future II was perhaps the best sequel in history...in terms of living up to expectations following the cult following generated by the first film.

III didn't disappoint either although it was the lesser of the three films.

I got to give Aliens the mantle of best sequel to a hit film ever, personally.

Sans Platoon, I think it wouldve been easily Movie of the Year for 1986.

T3 was a pretty big fall off from the second. Not necessarily a bad movie, i just didn't particularly care for it. I never did see the 4th, but i know it didn't get the best reviews.

Rocky? Really? Part V was garbage even for a franchise that doesn't make you get your hopes up.

Rocky V wasnt horrible, it just wasnt as good as the others. I still enjoy watching from time to time.
