Man, if that's true, I almost wish Dana would have kept him around to fight Cain, JDS and Overeem in a 1 week span to punish his bitch ass.

That bitch knew better than to antagonize him after his loss. He has told her many times in the past "when i lose, stay the fuck away"

Cant say he didnt warn the bitch.

    WOW!!!...

Pretty SHITTY Situation Rogers has Himself in...REED DOES NOT Condone Spousal Abuse of ANY Kind (Verbal, Mental, Physical, etc.), but if, If, IF U're Gonna "Go There", Can U @ LEAST Beat your Wife when the Kids AREN'T Watching???:shit:...Good GOD!!!!...

This is Especially SAD Because Roger's Wife was Almost ALWAYS @ his Fights, SUPPORTING her Man to the Fullest, Win, Lose OR Draw...Having Suffered No Fewer than THREE HUMILIATING Losses (In a ROW, if REED's Not Mistaken), Rogers' "Manhood" is Probably @ an All-Time LOW...But that's All the MORE Reason to CHECK your Fucking Self, so that U DON'T Flip Out on Civilians, your Children Or your Friggin Wife...

On the "Like-Hate-Indifferent" Scale, REED Always Leaned MORE Towards the "Like" Side, as it Pertained to Bret Rogers...But if THIS Revelation is TRUE, FUGG 'EM...

While it makes me lose a lot of respect for Rogers, I don't see how it should make him lose his job. Personnal and private life should be 2 different things. Sure, you could argue that having a notorious wife beater in your organisation would hurt the credibility of the sport but I don't buy it.

Your job wouldn't fire anyone for facing felony charges? I think that it's actually common practice these days to not hire convicted felons....I think the same logic applies to firing them too.

Rogers isn't convicted, and I'd guess most jobs wouldn't fire someone convicted of beating his wife ( unless the job require traveling or is an high placed P.R. jobs ) but would be interesting to know the policy of big companies on it.

This is my point. Stupid bitch has always been clumsy. Ever since she was in the 5th grade. Now all of a sudden ole butterfinger wobbly legs is blaming her accidents on Rogers? Where's the proof?? Bitch is just trying to get paid.:dancingBaby:

You don't think that Rogers has a high profile job? This is totally a P.R. issue for the UFC/Zuffa/SF.

I don't buy it, PBF was arrested how many times for domestic violence and his ppv buy's still break record ( sure, none seemed as bad as what Rogers is facing but still ). Sugar Ray Leonard used to beat his wife too, don't know if it was public knowledge at the time he was fighting thought.

A lot of athletes were arrested for domestic violence, and none lost there jobs for it as far as I know. The general public just don't care, especially for a fighter as anonymous as Rogers was to become ( heading to gate keeper status )

Floyd doesn't work for a company. Hell, he doesn't even work for a promoter, he has his own promotion.

It has more to do with the UFC not wanting to take heat for having fighters that have baggage on them. MMA is not boxing, there are still a lot of people who think it is a sport of barbarians and thugs.

Secondly, Bum/Scum Rogers has little talent and isn't a sought after commodity. There's no reason to make a concession to a fighter who'd probably be cut in a few fights anyway.

I agree TLC. Boxers are more of independent contractors. UFC fighters are employees.

Rogers was easy to let go because he isn't a top dog. And thats the way it is. Fair or unfair. If this was Jon Jones or Cain Velasquez, Dana would have made a statement something to the lines of "We are going to let the judicial process take its course and make a decision then.":kidcool:

Azazel is right about one thing. There is an undeniable double standard when it comes to athletes and crimes like Rogers committed. For every 1 story of an athlete losing his job, there are probably a dozen stories like Phillip Merling, a defensive end with the Dolphins, that beat the fuck out his pregnant girlfriend and is still in a Dolphin uniform.

The problem is that the double standard is wrong. Like it or not, the UFC has done the right thing again. If you're a 260 pound fighter and you knock your wife's tooth out, you don't deserve to remain a free man and should be locked up. And second, you damn sure deserve to be fired from any reputable company that employs you.

And I think organizations like the UFC, since they represent a combat sport, have to be even more mindful of the negative publicity caused by douche bags like Rogers in the commission of violent crimes.

Dana White, ZUFFA or whoever pulled the trigger and shit canned Rogers should be commended for doing the right thing from a personal and business perspective.

Rogers is 0-3 in his last 3 fights in Strikeforce. I bet you they would have cut him anyway soon. Now onto this incident. We don't know the full story so we should just relax and see what comes out . Hell for all we know the wife came home and was all like. Brett ! You can't read, you're not good in bed, your a dissapointment to your children, your ground and pound sucks...your ga(cuts her off) BITCH It's true I can't read, it's true my dick is small and I suck in the bedroom, and ya i'm not a good father but bitch you did not just question my ground and pound.

Also, the UFC has been at least moderately consistent with this. They also released Maiquel Falcao after his violent crime in Brasil that was just recently rehashed.

At the same time, Chael got convicted of a felony and Dana brushed it off. That said Rogers is facing three felonies for violent crimes....a bit worse.

I don't know if it's right or wrong, but I tend to be a little more forgiving toward white collar crimes.

I know people can argue reasons to treat them equally, but violent crimes, especially against woman, always make me want harsher repercussions.

That is unfortunately how it is these days, but I strongly disagree with this practice. What if they did something stupid when they were young, fast forward 10-15-20 years and they still can't get a job to take care of their family? How is that a fair practice?
