Yes, and its worse to be angry where your guy has lost and lost for being a douche, than it is where your guy just gets bombed out by the better man. Thats the sort of beating people can live with. That's why Cotto HAD to beat Margarito. Must-Win.

There's no way in hell khan can say he was robbed, or messed about by the ref.
Imo, the ref was fine. I'm pretty sure the majority of khan's fouling was that, and the ref was right to deduct points.

Fear not, Kevin Mitchell is working hard over at the Fear Factory to pump the word out. Khan was robbed, etc.

His use of the elbow was repeated.

Is there a rule that says a point can only be taken off where there is a prior warning??

Did you get the fight in on SKY?

Bunce will be on Boxnation this week talking it up.

Oscar looks like he is using the same makeup foundation as Shaefer.

Oscar needs to take his heels off, put his feet up, loosen his girdle, undo his bra-strap, have a coke {A coke} and a smile and SHUT THE FUCK UP.

The ref warned khan plenty of times. More points could have been deducted, imo.

I got the fight on sky, yea.

I'll get Bunce's show on to record now, to hear what he's got to say.

Glad to hear you say that, Jimmy. Totally agree. Probably the best refereeing performance I've ever seen, the guy's a hero.

    It's true.

I can't believe Steve Collins said that Khan will gain "more fans", after that fight. If I had not heard of Khan, before this fight, his performance would not win me over, I have to admit.

The blueprint's drawn now. You just have to pressure him and crowd him. You don't have to be Roberto Duran or even Marcos Maidana, you don't even have to be remotely good at it. Just get inside. The end.

If he criticises the ref & defends Khan's shameless escapology I'll go from disliking to despising the fat prick.

Did you see the job that Kevin Mitchell was doing on the referee in the Guardian?

I have seen only the first 6 rounds so far in detail and I think he was doing fine- better than that mook Joe Cortez, Ref for Hire.

Khan was doing it all to stop the fight. Holding, leaning, elbowing, dropping down, you name it.

Put Khan in 1946, 56, 66, 76, 86, or 96 and he does not exist... he gets some press in Britain, he beats some no hopers and then he gets taken out by a Terrance Alli or a Sammy Fuentes type of guy... he's garbage at the world level... only in the current cesspool is he a titlist... Peterson is a wholly ordinary boxer who is not especially gifted coming forward and Khan could not do anything when he got close

    Hahahah, very, very true.

That's why I'm basically convinced that Rios beats him, as he's a better infighter than anyone Khan has fought by far.

Like I said yesterday, Peterdude basically did an impression of a pressure fighter, and a mediocre one at that.

Based on the Peterson performance and on Petersons style, I would fancy guys like Reggie Green, Ray Oliveira, that sort of guy to get in there and do a job. Guys who wouldn't be blown out early and who would apply enough pressure to get Bambi Khan up on his hooves and skating around the ring.

yup... Oliveira would just slip punches, come forward and throw a lot, force a pace and win

No but seriously though, I'd like to see Khan vs a prime Tszyu.

Hahaha, I've likened Khan to a baby deer before. Skipping and flailing around the ring. Clueless, fast, and rangey.

Khan's team also have announced they will formally question the performance of Cooper as well as the judges' scoring.

In a statement they said: "Following the decision in the fight, Team Khan and Golden Boy Promotions intends to make inquiries with the District of Columbia Boxing and Wrestling Commission, the IBF and the WBA regarding the performance of referee Joseph Cooper and will also be seeking clarification regarding certain ambiguities with respect to the scores of the fight.

Why, if that isn't management and love befitting a Genuine World Superstar, then I don't know what is

I bet team Khan get told by the commission to accept defeat, as there was nothing wrong with either ref or the judges. I don't know how one judge had Khan by 3, though.

It's a sign of just how derelict referees have been for a long time that somebody doing their job properly warrants an investigation. It's like somebody going on Fox News and telling the truth, it seems like they landed from planet zog.

Kind of like football - if a boxer has a fight and it's not going his way, he'll most likely blame the ref. Defeat should be accepted, unless they are rightfully robbed, but in this case there was no robbery.
