Isn't it kind of odd how you're the only person on the board who thinks Pacquiao is shot at 32, and also the only person who thinks Floyd hasn't declined at 35? It's almost as though you're a delusional nuthugger!
ruelas was a fraud. i had the dildo recipient tabbed to waste him. he got all he could handle from little ass paez, had a shit chin and had the balance of double L on saturday evening.
this was a pretty good event from top to bottom. fernando guerrero fought on the undercard and knocked this dude out who was carried out on a stretcher. peterson's brother fought the prophet (who's usually boring) but attah took his ass whupping like a warrior and fought till the end connecting w/ some hard haymakers. everyone was relieved that mitchell wasted ibragimov in 2 rounds. buffer honored too sharp for his induction to the hall and everyone gave him a standing ovation. the convention center's setup was a bit bizarre. no bleachers and the view even from ringside was kinda shitty, but it was a packed house and reportely garnered around 9000 in attendance.
Great fight, happy to see that Peterson wasn't a fan of the point deductions either. Would love to see Peterson give Khan a rematch in the UK (probably be a big payday for him as well).
So he's the type who holds, pushes and pushes down if he can't maintain distance with his opponent? Fair enough. He should just know that by taking that approach, he subjects himself to penalties.
go to this BBC link http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/16139828.stm Scroll down the page and then read the box that says "Khan's Recent Fight History" Then read what it says his record is, in that box.
I agree. I haven't bought the sun in months. I refuse to. A guy at work had it and told me what they said about the fight, so I checked up on it online. It's a horrible paper.
I think whiskey's point is, he's always seemed like a cock. Which he has, I think it's just a bit more blatant now. The fighting farmer is way more koo than Khan.
The way he spoke to McCloskey after the fight too, "let the champ speak, yea, you ain't the champ, I'll do the talking!". Urrhh.
he dominated and knocked the guy out cold. the dude was carried out on a stretcher. he did get tagged a few times and looked unsure when he did, but didn't matter since it was such a mismatch in terms of talent.
he also made comments about McCloskey being the best on a European level while he (khan) is on a world level. Said it shows the difference between himself and the rest of europe. I took it as him saying he's above fighting those guys.
Well to be fair, McCloskey was European champion and despite the refs decision, Khan hadn't lost a second of the fight up to then. So he had a point.
Lol, I wouldn't say i've seen the light, just that I've noticed a change in Khan's personality and the way he reacts to certain things. I was hoping for a dominating, classy performance vs Peterson, but got a stinker of a performance from khan.
Sure, at 140 it's pretty much true. Considering he's beaten McCloskey and Kotelnik handily already he has already proven to be a cut above them.
