Assuming Pavlik has a sober training-camp, how does he fare against Carl Froch?

Tough call, but I think it'd be a close fight either way, with both their faces being badly busted up at the end.

I think Froch takes it because I trust him to not just dish out more, but to take it better than Pavlik. He has superior craft to Pavlik and is physically stronger.

Froch via UD or possible late stoppage.

This part is false. Pavlik was technically more sound.

However, Froch is more athletic than Pavlik, and less basic, which might have played a factor.

Pavlik was so basic, and slooooowwwww on his feet, that Ward would have lit him up for a shut out.

At least Froch won 3-4 rounds.

pavlik in his prime wasnt a super middleweight. i question his power in that division. otherwise, he was better than froch.

I think the size difference is important... Froch is a big super middleweight

Froch is better than any version of that piece of drunken white trash.Pavlik always sucked. Drunk or sober, one constant was the Pavlik sucked. I said as much when he was undefeated.

Pavlik was a tall kid with some pop and that's about it... he wasn't all that good

It cant be overlooked that Pavlik handled Taylor much easier than did Froch.

I think the alchy is being a bit underrated.

It was a good win, but I think Jermain's weaknesses played well to Pavlik's strengths

You all mustaforgot. Alchi was nearly kayo'd in round two . fROCH NEVER came clsose to being stopped. If Taylor wasn't the worst finisher in history, Smelly would be in a pine box
