    kinda funny that i've never been to the states, so this is how i think of a lot of american cities:

    New York - Manhattan, Annie Hall, about a million other movies

    LA - Heat, Collateral, LA Story, Boyz n the Hood

    Detroit - Robocop

    Philadelphia - Rocky movies

    London - 28 Days Later

    (really, woody allen specialises in this kind of filmmaking - i associate london with 'match point', paris with 'midnight in paris', barcelona with 'vicky cristina barcelona', ...)
