you sound like mikE with this post

come off of it, I could not care less where the british/canadian/jamaican Lewis came from. I never even figured out where he was from. And the last thing I give a shit about is where a guy is from or if his trainer is American. You should know me better than that, it's a ridiculous assertion.

I always liked Lennox... but he was a smarter, more balanced fighter later in the decade, better defensively, he improved his jab considerably and he was far better at timing the right hand. He was just better. He may have been in physical peak in 1991, but his boxing IQ was considerably higher later on. That has as much to do with experience as it has anything to do with Emanuel Steward.

Steward might be a one trick pony but that trick is getting tall guys to really exploit their range. I think he 'definitely' helped

Yep. Steward can work wonders with a certain type of fighter.. that's why he's the guy I'd like to see training Amir Khan.

Anybody who thinks 91 Lewis was the "best" Lewis ever, and basing this primarily on a KO of Razor Ruddock, has a very limited understanding of the sport.

not to mention ruddock was just coming off two severe, career altering ass whippings the year before.
