This is a great comedy/crime movie from the brother of the guy who directed In Bruges.

    I love the bad guys.

I started watching it but stopped it because the copy I downloaded didn't have subtitles and I think the average guy who isn't from Ireland will have trouble understanding most of the dialogue.

    Agree, I cracked up incessantly.

"I thought that only black lads were drug dealers?"

Mark Strong is always good nowadays, I liked his bad guy character, as well as the incompetent quirky Irish lot. "I'm not a psycopath - I'm a sociopath!"

My question is, are all Irish truly like our own Irish 2002/2003? Cynical, jaded, profane, hugely critical of everything and everyone, bitter, and have an inferiority complex with America? Because that is how they come across in every authentically Irish movie I have seen.

Must say I love their sense of humor, though. Never really liked Brendan Gleeson so much, but I can see his is a diverse and talented fellow.

Gleeson is a fantastic actor capable of playing many weird and wonderful characters..

And yes we are a lot of those things but mostly for humour, let's just say we are slow to catch up with this modern PC bs..I think that is part of the "Irish charm" we can be those things but without malice or hate

Inferiority complex, nah but that is how we are portrayed in most movies. Most Irish believe we built America and that we are behind everything that is good over there..
