Ramos was down. Doesn't look like he has the skill to win the fight.

Rigondeaux has a lot of talent but he is boring as hell to watch.

Whoa what a body shot. Ramos was outclassed the whole fight.

Rigondeaux would never get the fight vs donaire, because he is too patient, boring, and unwilling to lead. couple that with his obvious skill, experience and power and bob arum wont go near him with his future pinoy cash cow. too bad

Id love to see it. doubt top rank does. they'll say the dude is boring and brings nothing to the table monetarily. both true

in the meantime rigondeaux would look like a million bucks vs arce

Rigondeaux came to Ireland and did a job on a glorified club-fighter called Willie "Big Bang" Casey, took him clean out in a round. It was part of our pree-doze IIRC.

Only if you bought tickees to go down to the Oh-Poo Arena and watch it "live".....coz RTE had a stream on it on their website and it was live on Network Two. Apparently, winning Prize-Shiter gives you a great chance at beating undefeated Cuban Legends.:wack::lol:

I know you hate me, but I cannot help myself.:l3:

I knew he had a snow balls chance but it was a chance to see the 'legend' in the flesh, not often you get the opportunity over here

Btw, it was city west.. It was like a pokey reunion, after the KO we ran to the car

Hard to get out of , is it?? Fucking Santry. You are way out of your comfort-zone, Bay-Sider

You were closer to Enniskerry than Gibneys of Malahide, let me tell you. :nono:

One wrong turn, you'd wind up in Kilternan with people telling you about how "this river don't go to Entree"....:34:

"Gibboze" as it is known by its regulars. Shower from Raheny are usually in there.

Didn't Rivondeaux look like hell and nearly lose on a PPV undercard recently?

Yeah, he might have, in fact I think he did, and died afterwards, but we're talking about Rigondeaux. Sound.

That wouldn't make sense for Top Rank to say though, considering that Rigondeaux is their fighter.

What I can see is Donaire continuing to be matched up against offensive-minded fighters... and Rigondeaux against the guys they'd rather not see Donaire face (for style reasons, not out of fear).

The under card fight with Diaz and Guy Robb was good. The main event sucked. I hope both Ramos and the Black Frenchy die.

I think it was Top Rank's way of protesting all things Al Haymon (who has Ramos).

This fight actually began as the co-feature to Cotto-Margarito II, until Goossen priced out Ramos off of the show. Went to purse bid, Top Rank won (for half the price that they were willing to pay for it to be on the PPV card) but had nowhere to put the fight so they pawned it off to Goossen/Haymon.

I see Donaire fighting Vazquez (obviously), then some other recycled Top Rank fighter while milking the hell out of an Arce fight. Rigondeaux will probably wind up shipped off to Japan for a fight with Nishioka, or just stuck in a bunch of shitty defenses.

@brentbrookhouse: Rico Ramos fought 6 rounds against Guillermo Rigondeaux and landed 15 punches. He made $55,000 for his efforts

I'm surprised he only made $55,000, actually. I would have guessed at least twice that.
