Pretty funny stuff. Vitali has plenty of wit {"Can you read or not???" ::}.[/ Chisora on the other hand deserves commendation for being pretty laid back.

Vitali fought David Haye?

 

He was trying to sign to fight him at one stage, and is planning to fight him. I think the point he was trying to make was that he's been involved with a lot of British names etc etc.

 

This Chisora is a very stupid man.

 

I don't know if he is stupid. Of course, once you do go stupid, you never go back.

In all honesty, I dont see how Chisora can be a threat to Vitali. He doesnt hit hard, bad defense, and is technically bad. All he has is his toughness and pretty good stamina. I see Vitali eating him up, even at 40.

 

Basically, these guys are hoping he blows out a knee or a tendon, or that they can set a fast enough pace for him to get old overnight. Thats their chance. Its there, but its slim, and in the meantime, they have to deal with the incoming.

That might be a good move,..give his arm a pop like Tyson did to Mcbride :crafty: ... a few headbutts, get the blood flowing,..and then if Chisora is disqualified, it'll look like the hated robot was 'gettin' it' ..and the nazi germans had to rescue him... :crafty: American websites will definitely go for that..

Vitaly is unbeatable these days...he fight tall and smart. His baby brother is a dumbsky that can get clock'd.

Yep, another overmatched foe, but who else can Vitali fight bar Haye? They're all overmatched, that's the problem, even though he is 40 years old, none of them stand a realistic chance against him.

 

Vitali doesn't have it as easy as people make out. I don't care what anyone says-he's on thin ice every-time he fights. He's 40. He has a career littered with injuries which on their own could have been career ending- the rotator cuff in 2000, the back injuries in 2001/2002, the cuts vs Lewis, the knee that took him out for 4 years. It's heavyweight boxing- the one division where a guy regarded as a scrub can really cause an upset. Against Adamek, Vitali was in complete control yet still managed to drag his right foot in the canvas and fall over. He doesn't trust his body- I can't remember the last time he bent at the knees and sank in shots like he did against Kirk Johnson.

Chisora is sufficiently thick to not think too much about this one, and thats his best chance. He's not going to bustle on in there and just take Vitali apart or out, but he might last long enough for something to snap or give-out and thats the risk Vitali is going to have until his career ends or gets ended.

Whatever else, I think he's a humourous guy who, for a guy speaking what is his third language, displays great wit.

 

I am not blaming either Klit for their opponents. I just think its a shame that we won't know how they would do against competent opposition.

 

I thought Chisora sounded pretty dumb, repeating himself over and over again. Vitali and his brother speak something like 5 languages each? Both guys are learned and intelligent. I used to bag on them about quitting when hurt (Byrd) or folding when someone hit back (Brewster, Sanders, Puritty), but they are intelligent and interested in world issues. If every boxer were like them when it comes to diversifying their interests, the sport's image would be much improved.

I think the closest who comes to mind is Pacquaio as a congressman. He also has a doctorate, but it is honorary. He's community-minded, growing up in poverty and ultimately triumphing over it. He wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth and had to work for everything he has.

 

The PhD degrees Klitshkos have are also honorary. No way have they studied that much as they both have trained professionally from their teen years on. Both of them seem pretty intelligent for fighters nevertheless. Considering that English is probably the fourth best language for them, they can give pretty coherent interviews

 

I thought one of them had a degree in kinesiology. This is just off the top of my head, but I didn't think both of their degrees were honorary.

 

They both have degrees in Sports Science from the University of Kiev. They were not honorary degrees, and it is indeed Wlad who speaks 5 languages.

 

Yes, they both have the degrees but I would bet my house on that they have not actually done all the studies, not the same studies that western universities demand anyway. It was a common habit in Soviet Union to give such degrees for people who had other kind of achievements. I think sport success has brought them the PhDs, no way have they had time to actually study at the same time.

Also, I am not sure how many languages Vitali speaks, but I am pretty sure Ukrainian, Russian and German are all better languages for him than English

 

Klitschos don't speak 5 languages. They just knows how to say I quit in 5 languages. You never know what referee you're going to get.
