I'd much rather hold my title of biggest asshole than hold your title of village idiot. Though it does look you're in serious danger of losing your dunce crown to an effeminate Jewish chav.

Conversely. At what in-ring weight did Hatton's career take place? What in-ring weight were both Floyd & Hatton against each other?

I don't see how that's relevant. The point is, the circumstances under which Hatton faced PBF were not the same ones under which he had success in his career.

I'm not saying the results are different at 140. My point is, in Hatton, PBF did not defeat a top full-sized welterweight. He beat a top junior welterweight. And he did it at welterweight. Where previously, Hatton had demonstrated (against Collazo) that he could not compete at the same level.

As I remember, Trinidad never completely escaped King's grasp, but he did threaten to leave to make a Quartey fight...a fight that never happened, but seemed to make Oscar (finally) brave and we ended up with dlh vs Trinidad and then everything started coming together with Tito and DLH now willing to start fighting true threats.

Quartey, who was my favorite of the bunch, couldn't get over not getting the nod in a close fight (dlh) or getting completely screwed on the cards (JL Lopez) and basically limped to the end of his career.

Whitaker, who was overrated by this time just cashed out against dlh and Tito and fought to make the fights close, but not win, imo. I know some people thought he beat dlh, but I thought dlh won clearly. Hurtado had already shown that Whitaker was on the way out.

Whitaker was past his best but i think that fight was more of a stylistic problem than purely being an issue of Pernell being on the slide.

Both are masters but give me Pea, at his best IMO about the hardest thing to figure out.

I have a hard time believing there will be a fighter like that anytime soon.

The thing with Trinidad... he left King (fully, or otherwise) to make the fight happen with Whitaker. Once he found out that Main Events wasn't willing to do it right away, he dropped the lawsuit and went back to King.

I agree with you on where Whitaker was by the time he fought DLH... but again, that was four years after he won the title, and with Trinidad and Quartey there the entire time. I don't know who's fault it was that the fights never happened, but always found it strange that he had no problem fighting Vasquez at 154 when two perfectly good welterweights were available - including one that was co-promoted by Main Events

If you;re gonna put such weight on 'circumstances' then the nature of them are relevant. Go back and read my previous post before the one you quotes if you wouldn't mind regarding collazo, i cant really add to what i said on that
