Finished watching it last night. Johnny Depp is in it and so is that hot piece of ass Amber Heard. Be warned movie is all talking and has virtually zero action. Acting isn't bad but the lack of action really kills it for me. If you watch this movie don't watch it before bed because you'll fall asleep. 2.5/5

I have zero interest in seeing it based off the trailer. I remember a guy I worked with watched it and then complained how it was boring.

My response? "Well you watched the trailer before watching the film, what did you see in that trailer that made you want to see the film"?

    His reply? "I don't know"?

    Idiot.

    LOL

To be fair I never saw the trailer I just picked up the movie at a local flea market for 2 bucks. Watched it not knowing what to expect except that Amber Heard chick who is pretty fucking hot so I knew at least I would get to see that.

I read the book a couple of years ago, and since it's based in Puerto Rico (The story), I really enjoyed the historical aspect of it, and the fact that many scenes were filmed literally a couple of blocks away from where I used to live, made it fun to me. Honestly, while I loved the book, it was not intended to become a film. It has too much dialogue, it's more journalistic than anything else, so I see it as Johnny Depp wanting to pay homage to Hunter S Thompson (They were close friends) while bringing another of his books to the theaters. It's definitely not a film for everybody, it's more like an indie film.

I liked it a lot. I am a huge Hunter S Thompson fan tho. it was drastically different from the book in many instances, unlike Fear and Loathing imo which was pretty true to the book. i still liked the movie. I'll watch anything about Hunter S.
