Does anyone have any knowlegde of the differences? I'm sure with boxing it may have to do with sanctioning bodies and state commissions. The reason I bring it up is the stuff with Chavez Jr. missing the post fight piss test. Am I mistaken, but aren't pisstests administered beforehand in MMA? And lets not turn this into a huge fucked up thread about which sport is better. I love them both. I am just not very educated in this matter.

State athletic comissions control the testing. The Chavez Jr thing was in Texas, they basically just don't give a fuck in Texas.

The testing for MMA and boxing are exactly the same, just depends on the state it's taking place.

Do you know how long they have after the fight to take the pisstest? I mean is it immediate? Is it the next day?

I think it's supposed to be right after the fight. I'm not 100% sure though.
