The jab-hug combos would frustrate Tyson. Do Wlad's chin and courage manage to hold up for 12 rounds, or does he fall asleep before the audience does?

    I'll go with Tyson KO1.

Tyson would ko the German bum in 1 and have him eating borsch with pampushkas-dumplings within a week

Wlad wins. He is able to protect himself these days. Yes it would be ugly as Wlad would hold his hands high and clinch all the time but Tyson couldn't do anything about it. Whereas Wlad would land the jab continuously and after six rounds or so he would start dropping the right hand bomb. Tyson either cries and quits again or is counted out late in the fight

I think both Wlad's confidence and his defensive abilities have improved greatly, which is why his opponents haven't landed on him even though he has faced his best opponents during the last six years.

He's definitely improved allot. But Prime Mike Tyson is so much better than who he's faced it doesn't bear measuring. And part of the panic things is just Wlad's confidence that the people's he's facing can't touch him.....his threshold of confidence has risen with his ability, but I don't think he's actually become mentally strong. Against a guy as threatening as 88 Tyson I think he would clam up again.

Tyson wins but not early and not as easily as some think.

If you could combine Wlad's abilities with Vitali's chin and toughness, he could make a good 50-50 fight with Tyson. Individually neither Klit has much chance, Wlad is too fragile and Vitali is too slow and clumsy.

Silliness. Both are better than one-handed Tony Tucker

'Bonecrusher' Smith and Tucker both went the distance with a prime Tyson and Wlad is better than these two palookas.

    LOL

Wlad had to be shamed into stopping a fat useless Eddie Chambers in the 12th, but he's going to start dropping right hand bombs on Tyson in the 6th and make him quit.. OK.

So you expect Tyson to pull a Chambers and run around with his gloves taped on his ears? Or would he at least try to attack like he did against Douglas, which would leave him open for Wlad's punches?

Better, but more fragile. That's not a good trait against prime Tyson.

I agree with loaded . Wlad would't open up at all. Wlad would be scared for his life and thus gets stopped early. Wlad didn't open up against Ibragimov AT ALL so you think somebody with Tyson's aura would make Wlad open up. Wlad would freeze and get taken out fast in 2 rounds or 1.

Tucker was a big man and a very decent fighter. Boneclutcher fought a terrified fight, held on to Tyson for dear life, and lost every round. Both guys were also a lot more durable and mentally stronger than Wlad.

Tucker was one of 2 or 3 guys who managed to go the distance with a young fighter named Lennox Lewis, you might have heard of him. He's related to Wlad.. he's his older brother's daddy.

I don't see Tucker or Bonecrusher getting stopped by Lamon Brewster or Corrie Sanders.

He would attack, but the only thing that would leave open is Wlad's asshole after Tyson was done reaming it.

Sure. After Tyson felt the power of Douglas' jab and right hand, he became clueless and got beaten up like an old maid that met Tyson on streets. Wlad's punch would probably make Tyson resort to his teenage tactics of hiding between walls to avoid getting beat up by the bigger guys

As usual you have no clue wtf you are talking about. First, that version of Douglas is better than any version of Wlad. He would've knocked out Wlad in 4 rounds.

Second, Tyson hits Wlad with that shot in the 8th round that Douglas got hit with, and Wlad doesn't get up.

Oh, and Tyson was one of the most feared men in Brownsville East by the time he was a teenager. He weighed 200 lbs by the time he was 12, who was he gonna hide from? And he sure as hell didn't try to back down against Douglas, even when he was taking a vicious beating.

Whatever you might say about Mike Tyson, he wasn't a big bitch made pussy like Wlad. Wlad would shit his trunks walking to the ring against Tyson.

Wlad was afraid to open up against David Haye last time out. Tyson mauls him.

    Wlad is disgusting.

Thread pretty clearly says 1988 Tyson against today's Wlad.

Or we could talk about Wlad/Brewster?

Wishful thinking with no basis. Douglas got beaten by Tucker and Holyfield wiped his ass with him. He was nowhere near Wlad's class and you know it

Right. Douglas was not known for his chin either, Wlad was much more difficult to hit than him and Wlad has never stayed down, so you base this on - absolutely nothing but your personal dislike

Teddy Atlas told this about Tyson in his autobiography and he knew Tyson. Watching Tyson in the ring, it is obvious the story is true.

So he would beat Tyson with a shit in his pants.:egypt:

We need to point out the difference between the Douglas who fought Tyson and the Douglas who fought Holyfield now? Really?

So Douglas had this peculiar career where he was a bum right up to the year 1989 after which he became a legend, after which he lost all his skills, power and chin in nine months?

Perhaps you have never seen the Douglas/Tyson and Douglas/Holyfield bouts in question. One would have to assume.

Seems like you can well see the shades of gray when it comes to Wlad's career but never with fighters you dont like, Ugo
