Watch what you say here. You realize that Oscar openly admitted to taking shots in his hands before the Mosley rematch.

It wasn't banned until 2004, that fight was in 2003.

Bottom line is: It is performance enhancement, therefore it SHOULD be illegal...

Without it, even with his hands down to his sides, Carlos Hernandez wouldn't be knocked out by Floyd.

You tell boxers they can't treat their busted up hands, there will be no boxers in a very short amount of time.

They can treat it all they want, just not within a week of a fight. Guys should be healing between fights, not fighting with numb injured hands.

Fighters spar to get ready for fights though, usually up to a week before the fight. Hitting the pads, bags etc up to shortly before the bout.

Fighters have been using whatever they can to numb the pain for centuries. Try to forget it's Floyd.

There might be very good reasons why it is BANNED in every state, with the exception of Nevada.

Lidocaine is not treatment. There's no healing going on. Rather, it's simply a guy born without the hands he needs using pain-killers to compensate.

    Exactly

It's just like DayQuil, it's simply some faggot without an immunity to the common cold cheating by taking something that masks it so he can go to work and shit... I hate cheaters like that

You're comparing apples and oranges. Boxing is an athletic competition contested among other things on the basis of physical ability . That means the hands to withstand the trauma or the will to fight through the pain.

It sounds to me like you're defending the use of numbing agents. Every state but Nevada disagrees. You think it should be legal?

Your example of a cold just shows how little thought you've given a subject you're all too happy to talk about.

If its illegal mayweather jr must not be using it. He's never failed a test for any dope. Isn't that what you pacquiao fans cling to?

Really, you've never mentioned mayweather jr and use of such a painkiller in your fightbeat posting history?

I'm sure I have, it's not like we all haven't talked about this before. It's not like I go out of my way to bring this up all the time.

So then you admit you were wrong for ever bringing it up considering its banned yet he's never failed a dope test? Obviously he could have never used it by your logic

you admitted you have brought it up previously. clearly this topic was aimed at folks like yourgoodself who bring up lidocaine and put it on the same level as EPO and other PEDs.

You have me confused with Double L. I never said it was just like steroids, it's not even close. I have made fun of Floyd's little girl hands, but that's about the extent of it.
