Ok the rematch is this Saturday, who wins the rematch?

I have Salido winning this by knockout. Unless Lopez fixed the defensive holes/stupidity (highly unlikely) He gets flattened for the count via devastating counter late in the fight.

agreed. I just don't see Lopez lasting the whole 12 without getting tagged and succumbing to the punishment.

    rooting for JuanMa tho.

Juanma's career depends on winning this. His high profile days are done if he can't beat Salido. If Lopez can't get him out of there by the midway point, it's going to be trouble. I'm not picking this one, but will be rooting for Juanma.

I would have picked Salido confidently, but in his last fight didn't he struggle and almost lose? Anyone seen that fight? Neil?

Yes. Based on the clip I seen he almost got stopped in the third round. I'm going to look up that fight on youtube. I might order Showtime just to watch this fight. it's going to be a good scrap for sure.

People talk shit about HBO bias for their fighters, but the mexican commentators are the most bias in the world...and don't try to hide it.

Salido is fun fighter, but very limited, Juanma is retarded and come fightnight he would have corrected zero of his mistakes. He will still lead with that slow ass right hook, or with that sloppy straight left. He wont jab enough, and will block punches with his face.

Both guys are sucky,Juanma if he wins will be because of that punching power who shows up on occasions, I don't think he will be able to box Salido over 12 rounds.

I'm sure this rematch election is well researched. Lopez will likely be huge in there and Salido slow and old.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lopez loses again, seeing as how dumb he is when he fights and how he uses no jabs, no defense, and how SLOWWWWW he actually is.

But I have a feeling that with Salido struggling with the weight and starting to show some signs of wear and tear, Lopez will probably pull out a mid to late rounds TKO similar to his fight with Rafa Marquez, but without any injury.

    Lopez TKO 9

Lopez should fight calmed, like he used to before getting hyped as a KO machine. Let the KO come to him.

Juanma is a sucker for counters. Being that sloppy adds to the problem. Based on the first fight I think Salido eventually counters the shit out of him and knocks him the fuck out. I highly doubt he fixed the defensive holes. He needs a better corner if he wishes to improve.

    Cheers Hex :bears:

I wonder if his punch resistance has taken a dip, or if it was just one of those flukey shots.

Should be the 1st fight on an undercard for the mAYWEATHER/COTTO CARD. Hell, even espn. Showtime and HBO should have elite fights. IT MAY BE GOOD, but the fight has no significance.

There's more "upside" for a Lopez win but unless he's made some vast improvements he'll get knocked out again shortly even if he gets by Salido.

Fair enough. It would have been great as a undercard for Cotto/Mayweather for sure!

Have to say I have marginal interest in this, ever since JuanMa got exposed to begin with. It seems to me that every division has just one fighter who really knows what the fuck is going on, and the rest are talented but flawed in some way or other..........the exception being 175, where they are all flawed or not that good to begin with.

I will go with JuanMa getting a late TKO.

Honestly I dunno who will win. Of course as a biased rican I'll root for my boy, but I have this sickening gut feeling he will get starched again.
