Damn. Feels like yesterday he was trading knockdowns with Mr. KO, who's also dead. RIP.

It is sad news, he did seem like a nice guy.

What is sad is if the cunt who hit him hadn't run off, they might have been able to revive him.

Also worth pointing out that Gonzales ended DM's undefeated streak. He had a pretty good career.

Sad news. I liked him, brave as they come, I remember his war with Letterlough and the bravery he showed getting up from multiple knockdowns against prime Roy. As SD says he also ended the Dariusz streak although I didn't see that fight. RIP.

Fucking sad. Always liked this brave fighter (pgm = leverage; pds =accuracy). I liked his straight left to the body, palm up. He hit RJJ with it. I liked the way he relaxed his arms when he threw.

I saw him fight live a couple of times on smaller cards. He actually broke this guy Joseph Kiwanula's nose and it shot out a geyser of blood. He seemed like a decent guy. I always wondered why he wasn't more popular. He had an honest fan friendly style.

Roy was NOT in his damn prime when he beat Gonzalez.

    Prime Roy = 94-00.

Please, if he was out of his prime it wasn't by much. He was still frigging good.

It was before Sleepy Roy started taking over, anyway

I just want to note that not a single one of Roy's nutticks said a fucking word about his prime being gone until Tarver clipped him.

Kiwanuka was a good fringe contender at one point with good power. To this day, I do not know how he let Pazienza beat him.

No, it is true. The slipping from his prime argument came after Roy lost so that the nuttick's could still gorge on the undefeated scrotal blood of their fallen hero.

Still, you can't argue that Roy was anywhere close to his prime as a fighter after the weight loss.
