    Ready Papito For Juanma
The puertorican ex-champs could clash in the near future

The possibility of a future bout between Juanma Lopez and Wilfredo "Papito" Vazquez took strength when the exchamp from Bayamon and his co-promoter expressed interest in that fight.

"Sure,of course, I'll fight anybody" stated Vazquez to El Nuevo Dia yesterday after promoter Bob Arum mentioned the possibility of a bout with Lopez in the near future.

    Top Rank promotes both fighters.

"If Bob Arum made that comment, then we need to wait for what he decides. I am with Top Rank now and Bob Arum has a say in my career. Whatever he says, we can sit down discuss" explained Vazquez whose last fight was a split decision loss to Nonito Donaire on February 3rd.

"If there is money for everybody, then we take that fight, which would be very attractive in Puerto Rico" stated Felix Tutito Savala Jr, Vazquez promoter. "even though our plans is to continue in the 122 lbs division."

"I feel good. I have no excuses for my two defeats nor for weight problems or anything." said Vazquez in an obvious reference to Lopez controversial comments after his defeat at the hands of Orlando Salido. Vazquez at first tried to be diplomatic, but when pressed by El Nuevo Dia about some harsh twitter comments he made on Saturday night, Vazquez was upfront: "I understand that he acted very unsportman-like and didn't look good as an athlete is supposed to...acting like that was a bad sport. I know that having said those things to Mr. Ramirez (the referee) was very disrespectful. "

While a future bout between the two boricua boxers will not happen until probably next year, Vazquez and his team are trying to negotiate a match with the ex-champ Fernando Montiel or Jorge Arce for his next fight. "In this sport you need to be prepared to win or lose. Some people just can't accept defeat and up there (inside the ring) anything can happen."

He's fun to watch but what's it say about the premise that boxing is an actual sport that it's his next fight and not Salido's being discussed?

Boxing has become little more than a side-show. Who the fuck really cares anymore? I don't. At least not as much as I did.

    It's like everything else.

Would be a nice local scrap. But as bad as Juanma is, Wilfredo is worse. Juanma by KO mid rounds after a short war.

You think Juama would had done better against Nonito Donaire? At least Vazquez bust his face and listened the last bell. I think Vazquez is better at surviving at this point than Juanma. Vazquez via split decision.

Nonito has been fighting like crap lately. Salido is hungrier and wanted the win badly, twice.

it's a good fight. Both guys coming of losses so the guy that losses this fight is fucked! Both guys are young but they can't afford another loss this year.

Agreed, I like this matchup a lot, especially if ithey wait after a solid comeback fight win for both of them.

The referee for this one will be the most important man in the ring other than the two fighters.
