The card lost it's main event, which was supposed to be the HW Tournament final rematch from last season between Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos due to Prindle getting sick.

Nevertheless, the card features all 4 Quarterfinal bouts of Bellator's Season 6 Middleweight Tournament.

As usual with Bellator, none of the fighters are household names but they are also not complete slouches. Some of the more interesting fighters tonight are:

Maiquel Falcao (33-4)---- Falcao, unfortunately, is probably best remembered for his lackluster fight in the UFC with Gerald Harris that was so boring that it prompted Dana White to release Harris.

Vitor Vianna (12-2)--- Very accomplished BJJ competitor who lost a close decision in last year's tourney to eventual winner, Alexander Schlemanko.

Brian Rogers (11-3)--- Former D-2 football standout who also lost in last year's tournament to Schlemanko. Big, strong karate black belt that shouldn't be as green as he was last season.

Vyacheslav Vasilevsky (16-1)--- Undefeated in 15 straight, this Russian Sambo fighter and Judo practicioner is only 23 but already has a depth of experience. Previously held M-1 Global's LH Title. This is the dude I am most looking forward to seeing in the tournament. Great striker and difficult to take down. My favorite to win the tournament.

Givanildo Santana (17-1)--- Santana is the male version of Ronda Rousey. The dude will absolutely take your arm home with him if given the chance. 13 of his 17 wins have ended via armbar including ripping off 10 in a row. I first saw Santana, now 40 years old, on a ShoXC card back in 2007 where he won, naturally, by armbar.

    Main Card
    • Middleweight Quarterfinal bout: Maiquel Falcao vs. Norman Paraisy
    • Middleweight Quarterfinal bout: Vitor Vianna vs. Brian Rogers[
    • Middleweight Quarterfinal bout: Vyacheslav Vasilevsky vs. Victor O'Donnell
    • Middleweight Quarterfinal bout: Giva Santana vs. Bruno Santos

If you missed Bellator 61 you missed one of the better 'walk away' flying knee KO's in a long time.

Is that Joe Rogan calling the fight?

And how did Vyacheslav or whatever do?

He beat the horse piss out of O'Donnell. Obviously O'Donnell is limited but it was a good USA debut for the Russian. My money says it's Rogers (flying knee) vs Vasilevsky in the final. And it will be an absolute war.
