How would this go down? How would Floyd deal with Maravilla's unusual style? Would Maravilla be too big and strong?
Probably Martinez by decision. I think Mayweather would have a hard time with Sergio's speed and reach. If Floyd is unable to win the fight from the outside he'd be in for bigger problems if he tries to take the fight to Martinez.
It's a big ask to beat Floyd by out pot shotting him with single punches, no matter how big you are. I'd favour man-child Mayweather.
I used to give Floyd a SLIGHT edge in this fight, but now I would give Martinez a slight edge. I just think Floyd would be too negative, and Martinez is underrated by some people. He has a good jab and good footwork, and would punch Floyd much harder than he's ever been punched. I wouldn't be remotely shocked at Floyd out potshotting and outlanding Martinez, but I think Martinez's power, reach and unpredictability would force Floyd to be TOO negative to let his hands go enough to win a decision.
