Say what you want about Castillo being shot, and Jose Cotto sucking, but there's no denying this will be an entertaining fight. I wish HBO would show it. I guess I get why they wouldn't. They're supposed to feature only top guys in the sport. But let's face it. A lot of these promoters - they trick HBO into showing fights not half as compelling as this one. And HBO goes along with it in the hopes they can hype another "star." In this case, the under-card fight (Kirkland/Molina) is a good one. But often times, you'll have a fight like Castillo/Cotto trumped by some mismatch that happens to involve some promoter's next great fighter.
Nah... Castillo has Been Losing to Guys that COULDN'T Carry his Jockstrap, a Decade Ago...REED Doesn't Wanna See that Shit... REED:mj:
Castillo is beyond shot, the fight is irrelevant AND his missed weight (yet again). Not sure how any of that equates to warranting HBO coverage, or televised coverage of any kind
You guys just wait. You'll hear about how it was a fantastic fight. "Jose Luis Castillo and Jose Cotto nearly stole the show last night with their barn-burner affair. Castillo ultimately prevailed with a devastating knock-out at the end of round eight, scoring a left-hook that seemed to short circuit Cotto, but not before a determined Cotto got his digs in, knocking the former champion Castillo down once in the first round and again in the third."
@danrafaelespn Jose Luis Castillo was supposed to re-weigh hotel but blew it off. He went to eat. Not joking. Fight vs Cotto might be canceled. Stay tuned.
Now we don't have to worry at all about missing it as the fight is off. Castillo was given two hours to shed the weight, instead grabbed lunch. Cotto grabbed his lawyer and told G they weren't fighting
