    Chinese contender Zhong wins
    By Robert Coster

Chinese jr flyweight contender Xiong Zhao Zhong, ranked by the 4 main boxing bodies, continued on his quest to become his country’s first world champion by knocking out rival Lee Gui Hun of Korea in 4 rounds. Zhong(18-3,11Kos), a standard bearer of professional boxing in China, hopes to land a title shot soon. In his fight with Gun, the barrel-chested young Chinese displayed not only power but great improvement in his defensive skills. The fight was held at the Expo Garden Hotel in Kumming , China and televised by Yunan Television and Zovi Promotions.

I've been telling everybody that Zhong was a future WBC belt holder for years but nobody would listen.

Kind of amazing such an enormous country has never had a champion, even one that defected.

Equally amazing that they have had no UFC champions.
