Less than five weeks to go before he kicks Cotto's ass!

    What's your prediction?

    Mayweather TKO 8

PBF by TKO in 10th. I think that he will walk Cotto down.

    Floyd wins by late stop

I'm surprised so many are interested in this fight

    It's a no-brainer, IMO, Cotto is a shell

I'm surprised too. It won't be the slightest bit competitive.

True. After all, there is a reason why Floyd chose to fight him while avoiding the real competition.

This "shell" just destroyed his nemesis in one-sided fashion. Cotto's lost just twice...one because of "handwraps" and the other because of pacquiao. Everyone loses to Pacquiao (not named Floyd).

Other than Pacquiao and Martinez.....Cotto was the best available competition for Mayweather.

He won't fight Martinez because he most likely will get fucked up...and if he WINS..he won't look pretty doing it.

And Cotto looked slower than usual before he would throw a fast jab or two, but now every he seems to be pushing out his punches, his face starts to melt after a few rounds of punishment, his punches seem to have NOTHING in them.

Not even Leonard Ellerbe the 2nd(secretariat) would watch Cotto vs. Margarito I and II and say that Cotto look just as good, fresh as he did the first time around...in the first fight Cotto was PRIME he had a weak fight plan and Margarito had brass knuckles.

I agree with you to some extent.

People are acting like Cotto is some scrub, it's crazy. He'd beat any welter not named Pacquiao or Floyd, he'd beat the crap out of the likes of Ortiz and Berto.

Unfortunately I also agree with those saying Cotto isn't even going to be competitive, he matches up so badly with Floyd.

I predict Floyd wins 11-1, possibly even a late stoppage if Cotto doesn't get on his bike.

"Shell" is extreme. Cotto's def past his prime, but he isn't shot yet.

If he was shot, I'd pick someone like Kirkland or Alvarez to beat him. But the current Cotto would still beat the hell outta those guys.

Still, it figures to be a pretty one sided thrashing.

If Cotto was at his peak, he'd be more competitive, but he'd still get picked apart.

Agree....Left hook body shot...Cotto is bringing it back...Mayweather won't be expecting it.

    C'mon, those guys are terrible

being able to beat them is not a sign of Cotto not being fairly used up

I wouldn't be too confident he defeats either easily although I'd favor him.Kirkland he'd probably stop but Cotto hasn't the sturdiest of chins. Canelo is just way bigger and would probably wear Cotto down. Cotto is not only past it, but he is a Fernanado Vargas type fighter. A very good fighter that has zero chance against a great fighter even in his "prime."

    word.

Most here, including Cdogg, would pick Cotto to beat Berto and Ortiz and most other leading Welters/jnr middles...he's beaten every man he ever faced except Pacquiao...in his last fight he put on a boxing clinic against Margarito and stopped him....yet now he's a "shell".

    Ludicrous.

He matches up badly with Mayweather, but this doesn't mean that he's washed up.

Cotto isn't shot. He would beat Berto and Ortiz because neither are very good. At this point in his career he has absolutely no chance against Floyd.

Margarito was coming on when the fight was stopped due to an injury that he had before the fight even started. According to you Margarito always sucked anyway. How is beating a one eyed Margarito a great win?

Never said it was a "GREAT" win...but shot fighters don't dominate and stop Margarito. Margarito always "sucked" relative to Floyd Mayweather, but I had picked him to beat Cotto both times and picke dhim to destroy Cintron.
