it was a garbage stoppage. They stopped it based on his existing eye injury. He had just had his best round of the fight before it was stopped, he was getting to Cotto just like the first fight.

Agree to an extent. He was definitely getting to Cotto, but the clock was running out on him and he wouldn't have made it in the remaining time. In the meantime Cotto was blugeoning that eye with pretty much one way traffic...therefore it was a decent stoppage.

I'm not "bolstering" anybody. I never said Margarito was GREAT but I DID pick him to beat Cotto both times. Therefore, seeing Cotto dominate him tells me that Cotto isn't yet shot.

Cotto dominated him because Margacheato is shit without cheating.

Margarito with two working eyes beats Cotto, wraps or not. IMO

Bullshit. Plasterito without wraps is a clubfighter. Cotto beats his arse all day.

The eye didn't even affect his performance, he just charges forward mindlessly throwing and eating punches, as if the extra eye means he beats Cotto without wraps.

Plasterito was still landing in the rematch, the difference is the punches weren't having even close to the same effect as the first fight, and Cotto's face didn't turn into a bleeding, puss filled pizza. For obvious reasons.

Sly is a groupie. Plain and simple. This means that any boxing-related arguments he offers up to justify PBF's status are perfunctory at best.

Yes he did...and Cotto was still kicking his ass without having to run or looking desperate by trying to find room in the ring. Not even close to the first fight, in the rematch as soon as Cotto felt the ropes in his back he would roll out turn Margarito, if he couldn't do that he would either clinch or punch his way off the ropes. And when they clinch it was Cotto walking Margarito back, not allowing him to load up with punches. Cotto was in total control of the fight.

More than a few times Cotto stood his ground in the rematch and traded power shots vs. Margarito....Margarito didn't have his special wraps so Cotto was able to eat those punches without no problem.

I'm sure the career ending beating Manny gave him proir to the fight has zero effect on Margarito. Also, the fact that there is no proof of any illegal wraps in the first fight. Didn't someoone from Cotto's corner watch them wrap his hands?

Absolutely true. I give Cotto no credit for beating Margarito. If anything Pacquiao deserves a victory. Margarito lost because he had 1 eyes for most of the fight. Try fighting with one eye. It affects everything. A 2 eyed Margarito beats Cotto 10 out of 10 times. I am not saying he is a better fighter either. Vernon Forrest wasn't better than Shane, but he had his number. So it is with Cotto Margarito. Cotto is too fragile and has too poor of stamina to beat someone who fights in the fashion of Margarito, wraps or no. That is why I picked him against Cotto in the only fight that mattered.
