Mayweather - carefully crafted career, fighting the right guys at the right time, taking little risk, handpicking bums and chumps outside of their weightclasses (Marquez) and fighting guys at the ends of their careers (Cotto and Mosley).

Tyson - biggest culprit in history for robbing fans of their money. Stole tens of millions of dollars alongside Don King in a mass scheme of screwing the public with sh*t fights against handpicked chumps like McNeely, Seldon and Mathis and Holyfield who was supposed to be dead. Continued pulling the same act later with fights against Golota, Savarese and Etienne and consistently stealing money from the fans with set ups.

Roy Jones - one of the worst in history. Handpicked cops, bouncers and carpet-delivery guys. Gave John Ruiz the biggest joke of a deal in history where Ruiz was guaranteed nothing in his contract other than what came from the PPV buys.

    Any others?

Shouldn't people be smarter with their money. If Floyd handpicks opponents, I don't understand why he does 1m buys on ppv.

It's also why the attempted Roycott never worked no matter how many fans bitched and whined about it back in the late 90s and early 2000s. People talk about boycotting specific boxing matches but then realize they have no other purpose in life and think to themselves that something unbelievable might happen so they take the plunge anyway. :l2:

while Tyson was definitviely an offender, stating the Holyfield and especially the Golota fights as a case where he stole fans money isn't accurate. I remember a whole lot of person picking Golota, and some fairly easilly.

Even Etienne was considered a good comeback opponenet as far as I remember. There was an old ring magazine article stating that it was a proof that Tyson draw had taken a huge hit that he had to take a live oppoenent like Etienne for his comeback fight

After the Lewis and Grant debacles, it's obvious why Tyson wanted Golota. A freezing quitter is what Golota was. Perfect fodder.

Felix Sturm, since his coming out party in a contreversial loss to ODLH has basically fought bums after bums in front of his knowledgeless fans in his adopted Germany. Hell, he wouldn't even sign for a fight with Abraham wich would have been a natural and huge fight in germany

If Mayweather is stealing money then there are many idiots out there paying for it. If anything it's the Mayweather haters at fault. They criticize Floyd then pay their $59.95 to watch him in action. If you know he is hand picking opponents then don't watch.

It's a recurring theme in sports- fans taking a perverse interest in the trials and travails of their most hated exponents of the sport in question.

He beat two of your heroes, one of them twice. In addition to that he fought Corrales, Manfredy, Burton, Ndou, Gatti, Judah, Hatton, Mosley, Marquez, Ortiz and now Cotto.

Oh and let me add......and he made it look ridiculously easy! :egypt:

In all seriousness. Chris Eubank. The fucker made money having never fought a decent American fighter. Fucker.

At least Benn had the balls to fight guys like Dewitt, Barkley and McClellan.
